ciccseven Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 How about once you capture a ship, you are able to Tow it back to port, thus diminishing OW performance, and making it a dangerous thing to do as you would be a sitting duck, but it would ad to the realism of the game and give us another option in terms of battle successes. Just a thought. 1
Skully Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 On the battle screen you can simply send a ship to your fleet, thus towing it away. Soon the "Send to outpost" will be gone, so that will become your only option to bring it back into port.
Jean Ribault Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 I had suggested this at some point, probably others as well. Can't remember if there was any feedback plus or minus. Personally I think it's a great substitute if send to outpost goes away.
ciccseven Posted July 12, 2016 Author Posted July 12, 2016 I only suggest it because the added challenge of towing it back to port, creating an opportunity for others to capitalize on the helpless tower.....adds interest. Also it has been a big aspect of realism, being part of the aftermath of the battle of Trafalgar, countless other battles, and depicted in this games artwork.
tipsypo Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 (edited) Agreed does make a great substitute once Send To Outpost goes. I am not sure what side I sit on the arguments over Fleets. Though thier usage as towed prizes or your merchant convoy that you escort around I'm not unsure, is an great usage. Would be great to get more options both in open world and battle instances to abandon or surrender such prizes and charges, leaving them to your enemy to attempt to save oneself etc. Edited July 12, 2016 by tipsypo 1
