Jerome Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Build an XP penalty in for sinking or surrender. This will have the effect of possibly demoting a poor captain and will make PvP more risky. Make the surrender penalty higher to encourage captains to slug it out. 1
Chimera Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Why would you want that? All it does is make captains run from pvp engagements even more than now and promote uneven battles. 1
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 XP / PRize penalties should ACTUALLY be introduced for BR differences in PvP. From -90% to 190%, respectively 9:1 to 1:9 odds. 1
Skully Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 I want to see skill also modeled into the rewards. http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/15149-i-ganked-the-british-and-all-i-got-was-this-lousy-t-shirt/ We should really do some models and calculations, then see which one makes sense. The current one is too limited.
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 PvP is 2x, that's the flat indicator. It is a good indicator of how pvp relates to pve, which we going to ignore for the moment being. In a battle with same BR, rewards are the flat value; work from there in a linear fashion regarding BR to a minimum of 0.1x the flat indicator and maximum of 1.9x the pvp flat indicator. Given the 8x BR gives a immediate escape IIRC we might not see the extremes presented unless players so wish it.
