Skully Posted July 9, 2016 Author Posted July 9, 2016 Talking to a trader he came up with a reason for imposing transaction cost: to stimulate barter. In a sense this is true, and within clan we always barter and never go through contract. But interacting with the player base this brings too much hassle to a lot of players. Who has ever bought a medkits of me directly (apart from clan)? Nobody. So the argument that it stimulates barter is void. Plus the true greeders ensure they bypass contracts as much as they can. So once again, I would say remove the transaction cost.
Skully Posted July 9, 2016 Author Posted July 9, 2016 And finally as the Fish Meat Market in Ile-A-Vache is coming together I show why it is not a friction-less market. I make a $48 bid, just below the $49 ask. But as you can see I actually pay $50/p. So the end result makes no sense at all, because the spread is smaller than 5%. Alternatively you could simply call this a bug.
Skully Posted August 1, 2016 Author Posted August 1, 2016 Forgot to mention, it is the contract cost we need to get rid of. Sales tax in itself might see a come-back after the lords patch, but it would need a different mechanism.
