Bach Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 (edited) Fishing, crew replenishment, new consumables all breathing new life into the game. Well done. I'm looking at the sand box and I'm starting to see standard player cargo routes and sea lanes forming. It's becoming predictable to find PvP in specific areas and people are both moving and risking ships solo. Population on pvp1 was 1100 for the last week and certain aspects of an international economy are starting to develope. Though the market is sure to drop out on silver coins and gold mods eventually. Fishing....who would have thought? Congrats Edited July 5, 2016 by Bach 15

I'm looking at the sand box and I'm starting to see standard player cargo routes and sea lanes firming. Fishing....who would have thought? Congrats Although im enjoying all the new content, you have to admit fishing inflated a bit on the AFK player aspect, heck i even keep naval action alt tabed while at work now, because i can fish without actually needing to do anything, other than press a button once every 30 mins not to get logged out. But yeah it coupled with the summer sale brought a bit of fresh blood to the game that was badly needed. Im also quite certain that the port battle and diplomacy patch will bring even more players back to the game, and this time with incentives to pvp instead of AFK 2
Jean Ribault Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Small surge in pvp2 numbers as well. Thanks devs, I agree yeah it's a nice patch. 2

Ronald Speirs Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 I really think it is a good patch. The bottle thing is awesome. Just needs some tweaks and further development of the new features implemented. Fishing and officers opens a vast world of possibilities. However I must say I would love to test a new ship There are more important things to fix before new ships, you can check the game files though and see the already completed ones sitting in there waiting to be released when they need them to provide more testing, what we need to do is help work on is better content to help tie the game together more and give things purpose, overhauling the economy/ ship building will help make things better, port owenerships and investment to make people want to have and keep them, better port battle mechanics, more customization and tweaking, politics, allianaces, pirate overhaul, greater mission choice and variety, we will get there in time, ship combat is the only real feature available that works well, they just need to figure out the rest.
The Spud Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 i am always scared to find a sarcastic post when i read titles like this thank you ))) I guess its the downside of having an open communication, people will rant because they know you will read/comment it. Keep up the good work!
Obi-Heed Kenobi Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Agreed. The new patch is really good. Keep up the good work!
Idle Champion Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Yep - enjoying this one so far. Fishing and bottles is a much better and more naturalistic incentive for open world travel than the previous travel xp system. Placing a value on crew was definitely necessary and the officer is a nice preview of what the system can provide in terms of character customisation. A lot has changed and for the better, and when we see fine tuning for the raft of content brought in with this patch and an opportunity to test some new ships I will also raise my glass and gently incline my head to the devs.
Jean LaPointe Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 You have done great!!! I love the enhancements you have done. The sound effects are better and filling every aspects of the scene you're in, wonderful. The fishing only makes one yurn for a fishing boat, or hoping someday fro a whaler. You have out done yourselfs in uping the content and direction of the game. Thank you X3!!!
SheepDip Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 This may be a bit off topic but every time I go after a trader near land they just slowly sail real close to the beach then "poof" gone . Most times in the first couple minutes , no matter how close I am . ??????
basilhare Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Kudos for a great patch.... The crew management and officer system is a positive change...very much enhances the game, I think.....
