Thonar Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 To the admiralty of the British colonies in the West Indies Report of a Commerce-Raider for the Month of June Gentleman, Since the beginning of June this year I was transferred to the command of the admiralty of the British West Indies and the month of June was thus mainly used by my men and me to establish a base of operation in friendly waters as also in hostile ones. The basis for ship-repairs, ship-buildings up to 5th rates, raiding-outposts as also an economical backbone to sustain longer operations was created and first operations against hostile traders and even warships were able to be conducted. I therefore sent you with great pleasure the first report from the 4th of June to the 4th of July: Amount of Engagements: 18 Against France: 13 Against Denmark-Norge: 4 Against Spain: 1 Enemy BR sunk or captured: 965 Enemy Cargo-Capacity sunk or captured: 27,875 Own losses: 170 BR and 225 Cargo Most engagements were done between the 4th June to the 11th June and on the 2nd and 3rd of July. During these engagements the Rattlesnake proved to be deadly new design of ship that is even able to fight effectively against Traders up to the 5th rate. French waters are ideal to hunt enemy traders, while Danish waters are too close to Christiansted and thus too small for an effective commerce-raiding for a prolonged period of time due to a greater amount of predictability. We expect the operations to continue on the 9th of July due to a deserved leave for the men and an overhaul for the fleet. We hope to raise the values in the month of July as good as possible. Thonar Posted July 5, 2016 Author Posted July 5, 2016 (edited) Weren't you swedish?Yes, I was and I was on behalf of KSKGE/ GER in the Swedish council for a short amount of time to represent the clan opinion at that time and mine in it, which seems was quite correct as Sweden achieved its wargoals as far as I can see.Nevertheless, as you can also see in the report: I was pretty much only online for 10 days last month... and with roughly only 2 engagments per day not even a long time per day. I decided to leave the organized gameplay as I do not have time for it as it would be needed and joined a nation where a player can play without a clan. But be aware: I have not forgotten the French betrayal. I have not forgotten the arrogance of the French nation during the war, I have not forgotten the arrogance of several French players on the field of battle and most of all I have not forgotten the French lies. Well... heavily outnumbered against 9 players with Consti/ Trinco max. on your side with a lone raider Frigate on the other. 1. I knew what was happening, due to the way your Cerberus player acted, winning time and because it was directly in front of your capital. 2. I could have logged off in Battlescreen and get away easily, I didn't. 3. You guys didn't really scared me. What you showed was below average to be honest and without offense. It was fun and encouraged me to test a bit with layouts and keep on raiding in French waters. Thx for the good fight but "rekt" is the wrong word. Hope to fight you guys again. The fight was a mess with probably a lot of people on our side not on TeamSpeak... And without PVP fitted ships... So yes we were not organized at all. To the credit of thonar, he did not even complain about what was obviously a gank, a deserved gank, but still a gank As for attacking a cerberus, I personally consider, when privateering near Jamaica, that any player in a three master ship is a legit target, cerberus and above (+rattlesnake) leaving alone anyother unrated ship... I never said I wanted a fair fight and never asked for one, neither during the battle with the Cerb, nor during the Counterattack nor here in the forums. I don't even complained about the counterattack, I expected it and fought it and had a great time doing so. So... where is your problem? Me attacking a "new player"? It is part of the game. I haven't mission-jumped him. I catched him in Open-World in front of your capital, with him having a fair chance to escape, so again, where is the problem?

So let me say this: If you ever need our help, just tell us. No matter if you need goods, ships, upgrades or fire power. You will get them no matter what. We dont care if we might have to hit a wall with it. Because blood is thicker than water (or words others spoke). Some say, this might not be right, but we dont care at all. We fought, we laught and we bleeded together. This can no one ever take from us. We are right now in a time out of the game until the "peace" patch will come. I belive I had to say this thanks to a few false reports in which we are called a agressor by ganking french players. Those reports are not true. If you get attacked by some [GER] player or if you claim that we attacked you, please make a screenshot and prove it. Im sick of hearing your lies!
