Time to load up for combat

I don't know if this is a common issue but I was tagged and the combat took so long to load up th sat I lost a ship -it seems to possibly be mainly when being tagged but this does seem to take a while nearly 3 or 4 minutes before I can respond to the enemy and I am no longer looking at the combat splash screen -any ideas how this can be sorted ? Other than this the game runs smoothly .

Go to Esc - Settings -Graphics and set all to Low and start from there , make sure AA is off.

As you start the day, tag a trader. This will load up the resources as well and your next battle should load smoother.
