Mac Freezes

I have a 2009 Mac freezes in 5 min. Running El Capitan 10.11.5. Tried everything, and I am frustrated.  Love your game though.  I was not really able to find proper nvidia drivers.  Slightly confused on if there are any, but I did try downloading some; however, they would not install.  Anyway, hoping you can help.  I have tried reinstalling, but that did not work.

Set graphic settings to low and turn off AA.

been playing in windowed mode with same settings, and it seems good so far.
