Fire Bug, No crew going into survival

just caught fire in my victory and was unable to put men into survival to put the fire out

 

ive bug reported this in game.

 

 

the fire started and was only 6 required in survival in 30 seconds i was in fire shock and still no men went to survival. i tried turning everything on and back off IE sailing on off gunnery on/off boarding on/off

My victory caught fire in battle today and in 30 seconds i was in fire shock and 10 second later i blew up. I tried everything possible to try and get my crew into survival, i tried turning sails and gunnery off and on my survival i tried once to turn off and then on again to seee if this would spark some activity into survival. i tried hitting repair then urgent repair.

 

 

i was setting up for boarding at the time and boarding prep was going up, but as soon as i was on fire i turned boarding off.

Is crew transfer supposed to work during "fire shock"?

Fire shock suspends all crew activities IIRC

Even if you have Fire Shock you should still be able to move crew around(just tested it), Did you f11 it? if you didnt next time this happens be sure to do so.

Also to be noted on what Steel wrote, if your crew then go into survival they will start fighting the fire so that activity isnt halted.

the screenshot was when i went into fire shock cos i knew what was gona happen, i didnt screenshot before hand cos i was still trying to get my crew into survival. i did f11 it so hopefully i'll get response/recompense. i've done fire ship fitting and not blown up as quick as i did in this vic.

 

strangely enough another of our clan members lost his vic under suspicious circumstances(fire/blew up) during the week so i was ready to screenshot and f11'd it

did you have the fireship fitting? if you do once your on fire you cannot put it out. its meant for blowing up enemy ships if you got that on and you are not wanting to blow your ship up trying to destroy enemy ships you dont need it on at all.

The issue occurs when you recently changed something on your crew settings (like you did with boarding)  ..the crew will FIRST finish moving around and only then start adding crew to survival.

On bigger ships where lots of crew moves it can take so long that you are ablaze and in, or close to,  fireshock before any crew even moves to survival.

 

I would consider it a bug or faulty mechanic since when you catch fire, or get lots of leaks, priority should immediately go to survival and dousing that fire/fixing those leaks... noone would keep preparing for boarding or whatever while their ship was slowly turning into a bonfire.

redneck i consider your post a troll post, why would i put fireship fitting on a victory that im using for missions, you obviously didn't read my posts very clearly.

 

From my point of view my victory was blown up and sank due to a bug in which i couldn't actively or passively put the fire the out. This is not how the game mechanic works.

Dident have any shocks and had 3 leaks on my santi. only way I cud get crew over to survival to fix the leaks was to activate boarding

if I took that away the crew stopped to transfer to survival

Are you sure you deactivated your boarding, sailing and gunnery  before you went into fire shock state? Stupid question I know. What about a fire ship upgrade on your Victory? That would be a really dumb thing to do as well but hey.

Ink what will happen about my victory if i may ask? if you find the bug etc. i paid alot for it and also had loads of gold upgrades on board all now lost.

I know your pain as the same thing just happend to me, first time ever, but losing the victory to fire with hardly any amour/side damage is a bit much, I couldnt move men to survial either and she blew up and sank taking all my gold (hard earnt) upgrades with her and my £7000000, as she was a gold ship too.....
