I see the Brits and Danes changing ports nightly. I figure it is either to reset port timers or to gain easy loot.

As a brit, I consider it my duty to drag the Chinese Danes off of their Euro truck Simulator and get back on PvP2 to defend their territory if only to boost our server population. ????

And as French, I keep a narrow eye on them.  They actually have left port timers open up in their northwest territory where a lot of changing hands has been going on.  I don't know if that is a function of the new port mechanics though, or if they are just opening things up for good gameplay?  Aside from the pirates moving to wipe out the Dutch, it's been pretty cool give and take.

PvP2 has had a lot of new players over the last few days, it's been great helping out the new guys.

 

Good practice with your shallow water port battle ships is to take the new guys out and your Shallow Water Ships and do fleets until you can get them up to that level and or higher.  Than move to bigger ships.  We been doing this as in either Nation for are clan.  If you just power level them with big missions they can't do much in than they really don't learn and it helps the clan work more as a team too.  That and I'm a bigger fan of the little boats myself.

 

I think it is good that there are two environments developing for players. On PvP1 a harsh lowdown hardcore PvP and on PvP2 a more friendly sportsmanship style.

 

I do see a couple of problems:

1. It divides our population, one server having everybody would give more gameplay to everyone. (But not the type people are looking for perse.)
2. New players can't find anywhere the difference between PvP1 and PvP2. Once a choice is made and you have invested time, it is a complete reset to start again.
3. I know the AUS clanners who moved from PvP2 to PvP1 are hard pressed for assets and eagerly awaiting the merge to get everything back.

Maybe there should be a mechanic that you can liquidate an asset and one week later you can redeem on the other server?

I don't want to detract any time from current developments, but for now just put it up as an idea.

 

I been wondering what the hell will happen if they do a merger and you have two different nation chars.  For Example since I just switched to Pirate on US PvP2 and I have US char on PVP1 (same name) than how would the merger even work with folks like that?    Though I'm prob going to delete that char on PvP1 and change the name cause I keep getting folks saying oh I know you from US server.  Though when I do that not sure what nation that char will be apart of, but prob a National for the new alliance stuff since I now have my main char as a Pirate.  My poor PvE char has pretty much never been touched other than a little testing...hell had to sale the Bucc just to get a decent ship to fleet and level up my Officer to test out some of the crafting perks.

 

If they are going to ever do any mergers they need to prob hold off until they do some big in game changes like the Pirate rework or something.

Seriously, we've had some great battles recently. I think we've had 4-5 different clans on various Ts working together. Most importantly, having fun. Good stuff.

That said -- yeah.. there has now been a HUGE influx of players (in the last 4 weeks now - due to that Huge PVP1 server collapse) .. lots of new guys (well, maybe not so new) if you count the multitude of US clans (and O5 (rank) players and up) that have gone Pirate (AN, JUL, UnKN, ...etc...) ... and the influx of Brit players coming from the PVP1 server. And the inevitable cross-overs from the PVE server. But hey ... that's ok .. see ... the US with all its ports and territories are held by a few members. Yeah -- I said a FEW. like not many. THE OP pirate faction roams the map at will ..only "losing" ports to other nations as a trade off for better access to US ports.

 

Currently on the PVP2 server here is the general make up .. its basically an ALL against the US server. If your Brit, you are allied with pirates and against the US. If you are Pirates - you are allied with Brits and against the US. If you are Spanish, you suck up to everyone but are against the US. IF you are French --well, you keep a watchful eye on the Dutch, and try not to get involved. If you are Swede ... wait... who are the Swedes again? If you are the Dutch ..well, you hate the French .. ally with the Pirates, and are against the US. That's pretty much it in a nutshell -- did I miss anyone? oh yeah -- the Neutrals .. who are basking in the sun, drinking corona's & Rum, while eating their popcorn shrimp ...watching all the hoop-la going on around them!

 

Rebutt that, all you want --- but in game, that is how it rolls. There are more British/Spanish/Pirate players between Cayo de Anclote/Cabo Canaveral and Sunbury, than the US players combined! -- so tell me again.. how is the US OP? ------------- Yeah, right -- didn't think so.

 

BTW, why don't we have a Porteguese Nation?

Yeah we respond fast when someone goes after our traders. They keep the war machine going.

Well that is our main Capital port.  That like me complain that there is to many US players around CT or something....lol

This is probably why I dont see you in chat anymore. With your personal threats of " going to your house and beating you up" and constant flow of vulgar insults , you sir are the most vitrollic person I have ever encountered in any online game in 20+ years. I hope you get help.

 

Other than that , there was some awesome fights this morning with 4 nations coordinating to take ports. Was a heap of fun! Thanks to all!

I had great pvp all day today and last night. Lost two but won a dozen or so and walked away with 2 2nd rate and a 3rd rate using nothing bigger than a frigate.

The pvp is pretty good and fun on this server, even if ive got to run lol.

I was Frederick de Villaret as GB; Gustav Adolf Vasa as Sverige; Juan Alfonso as Spain/Pirates. For the record I was part of AUS; and followed Merrill into the abyss so-to-speak.

 

I do apologise for my behaviour over the last few days it was quite uncalled for.

 

Regarding the server; it's been an interesting few days for all nations; Denmark have been pushed in; USA are no longer top-dog & GB has pushed right up to the Yucatan, within range of a calculated strike on tumbado.

 

This amount of territory changing hands has not occurred since the days of Sons of Britain & the Great Pirate Purge of March-April.  It's good stuff
