Server roles

Given the grief we on the PVE server get from the PVP guys who blame PVE on their own server for the lack of PVP it occurs to me that before you get rid of PVP 2 there is a possible solution. That to use the servers in different roles.

PVP 1 - PVP only.

PVP 2 - Mix of PVP and PVE as it is now.

PVE - PVE only.

That might sort out a few issues. Just a thought........

A healthy game is where different people can play his different playstyles together.

 

  A PvP "only" server would be no more than a arena lobby, Sure there are voices claiming for this , at least at first look, but most of that self-appointed elite pvp-ers are really wannabe gankers who would soon be bored withouth his "prey" ....same PvEers who they despise as "carebears" 

 

On the other hand  I hardly understand PVE-only servers in any social game ..... (and you can trust me,  i am no precisely an elite pvper but more on the prey side ),   withouth the risk l created by other players and the posibility of competition ,social PvE games tends to be worst than its single player cousins ....as  cooperative posibilities hardly compensates the player-centric solo games

Yes you are probably right. I don't understand the hostility from the PVP guys. There does seem to be a strong element of " Hey our prey is missing, kill off PVE so we have more prey" about it. The same attitude that treats " carebear" as an insult. What is wrong with caring, having a conscience and a strong set of ethics I do not know.

You are not alone in not understanding PVE. I have tried to explain the joy this game can bring in PVE, sometimes in great detail but all I ever get back is PVE sucks and if you were a 'real' gamer you would be happy to be my prey.

I don't understand how anyone puts up with some of the sociopathic behavior on PVP 1 so we will call it even :-)
