Why are we limited to 1 repair kit each sail and Hull?  We should be able to do as many as we are carrying... BUT with a cool down timer like on Urgent Repair after the Repair cycle is done... SO say you hit Hull repair.. You egt the repair started and it takes 3-4 minutes to complete... Then a 3 min cool down before you can do another one IF you have another kit.

Also if you capture a ship that has repair kits on it... You should capture them to in battle..

Along this same thinking.. if you capture a ship and change to it(do tpo yours sinking.... all your normal Upgrades should transfer with you.. Not like your Boarding parties forgot they were Blue when they changed ships

I don't think we should be able to repair more than once at all.

All it would lead to is ships running away in PB repairing coming back and so on. Endless chasing and less sinking.

I like the way it is :-)

I don't mind that we only have 1 repair in battles, but if this should change, there should be a long cooldown before being able to repair again. At least twice the 7 minutes cooldown for urgent repairs.

Not particulary approving the idea, but just want to say that, in this case that should not be repairs kit (quantity too high and don't take any space in hold), but materials physically carried in the cargo hold such as; wood, masts, canvas sails, nails and so on...

Repairing you ship will consume X of each materials, depending on the reparation needed, (leak, mast / rudder broken, canon destroyed, sails torn and so on) if you run out of particular material then you can't repair anymore.

Not using all the canon should increase the cargo hold in this case and in general.

Concerning the upgrade, certainly not, it is like you have time to replace the rudder of the captured ship by your reinforced rudder during the battle (this exemple works with all upgrades, permanent or normal, exept maybe some like powder monkey or the living one).

You will have to wait to be docked; wich is normal.

Also crew should be halved or divided after a boarding, some stay in the captured ships, other in the controlled ship, so you will have to carefully choose if you want to board or wait for latter cause the battle is still going (or eventually left the captured ship without crew).

A simple sliding bars with; "Your Ship" ----- "Captured Ship", could be fine to choose the amount of crew easilly and fast at the end of boarding.

A captured ship left with no crew should be able to be re-captured by anybody close enought even if the owner is still in the battle, after all, it is just an empty ship drifting on the water.

A captured ship should become your minions during the rest of the battles, if he manage to flee or survive till the end of the battle, then it will work like a captured ship in the reward menu at the end of the battle.

Otherwise it will act like a minion will during a battle, depending on the amount of crew you gave him after boarding.

That could be fixed by not allowing us to fix the insane amounts we can with upgrades.. stacked gold tool and Survival hand books are stupid over powered... Should be a base amount plus a small % for better crew/gear ect...  Just like the current sail repair is BROKEN you lose a mast the best you would ever get done at sea was a Spar with a single small sail on it. The best in combat would be clearing the wreckage away from the side so you could fire the guns.. maybe a few small extra stay sails thats it.

That is why I think you should have more repair.. more kits less total things repaired.. that way  in combat if you have the men they keep SLOWLY repairing you.. you should NEVER be able to get more then 1/2 your current damage repaired in combat

You misunderstood the Upgrade idea.. I am talking your Removable ones.. Marines Boarding parties, Muskets Hand books ect.. things that are part of your Crew and training....

Now if you capture a ship with Premenet upgrades on it they should work for the duration of that battle... It it is the LAST Durability on that ship you should get them .. I mean come on I capture a ship with Copper Plating on it.. It didn't fall off in combat:)

We tested it like this, it was unlimited repair but with 10 min cool-down. It ended in ships being nearly unsinkable and for game play reasons was rightfully fixed.

It is still messed up in the amounts you fix...

I was thinking more like you take 30% damage.. you get to fix at most 30% of THAT amount... not 30% of your total hull before damage....  Then later you take 40% from your repaired level... again only 30% of that damage since last repair is fixed.... It will extend life for a while.. but no poof look full health a\nd Sails BS like we have now
