Clan Membership and team speak.

I am a relatively new player, playing solo under the British flag, from my brief perusal of Clans, do they all require team speak?

 

Have played mmo's with and without in the past, play another where it is mixed usage, as in some corps use and some don't, maybe the game dependent, but that particular one no real advantage has been gained.

 

Maybe its being an older generation thing lol, but at the moment tending to shy away from TS.

 

But having played in allies made up of a collection of corps where you can have 100's online for your group alone, being solo here I miss the banter and camaraderie.

When doing Port Battles it's essential to be on TS. At least to listen to what your commander's are saying.

Thanks for the replies, yes I have to agree the community spirit is part of the experience. So much so, one game I play we heavily use KAK, that alone I have 7 different rooms going, good thing you can switch notifications off .

 

Ah well looks as though to get more is, or to become more involved I will need to reconsider my view of TS.

We have a guy who claims to be mostly deaf, so it leaves him out of the majority of the game.

People are too dumb to know what to do without being told every 5 minutes - this is the assumption of guild / clan leaders, and I don't blame them.  I refuse to use teamspeak myself because I have a wife, newborn child coming up and I'm not going to alienate my family because someone thinks I need to be told what to do and I've been playing games before most of them were born.

Lol had a discussion in chat the other day with a couple of guys, one was the same as me 51, reminiscing over pong, would of been 1976 or 77 my first game console, binatone, had football, tennis, squash and was fancy as it had a light pistol for target shoot.
