This was just a thought but with the new smuggler system my friends decided we would love to see if a basic cutter can beat a les gros ventre (it can) we did this in a battle when it was green on green, now we all know that there is a duel system in the game but it restricts it to a certain level of BR, my proposition is to have a matchmaking system where a basic cutter can ask a santi to fight and the santi can either accept of decline, in this battle it would be conducted as an "honorable" battle and as such nothing would be gained nor lost this would allow players in nations to test things that they might want to try and even be able to settle beef on the open world.

Thanks :)

Interesting..so no loss of dura to either player. Just a duel for fun...or honor.

yes, I brought that up a while ago in response to the issue of promoting OS pvp. It's kind of a catch 22 to get into pvp as a new player since they somehow have to not care about durability to train/ make mistakes and maintain ships to sail at the same time which can be extremely discouraging. This was one of the big issues back in late potbs  where the old players could basically die a 1000 times vs new players which did not have unlimited resources to fall back to..

Also people which are currently pissed off with the open world mechanics could resort back to the arguably best part of the game. Hence, won't vanish completely and increase chances of getting back some player pop eventually..
