I am furiously (in both meanings) crafting away at Frigates to try and get the Ingermanland BP.

Now, alot of what I know about BP drop rates are lore and legend. Perhaps a lovely Dev type can pour some facts on this for me ?

  • Is the Frigate the only build that has a chance of the Ingermanland BP ?
  • What is the chance of an Ingermanland BP dropping from a build (I think this is my 9th frigate) ?
  • Does making 'golden' Frigates increase the chance by lots (as it takes an extra day of labour hours), how much more chance per note ?
  • Does your crafting level have any effect (I am level 40) ?

Many thanks, Jeheil, professional Frigate builder

Anecdotal Data:

  • Dropped a Belle Poule BP on my first crafted frigate (common grade) - was level 25
  • Dropped an Ingermanland BP on my 10th crafted frigate (all basic grade) - was level 33 or 34

well, st. pavel has a 1% according to navalcraft: http://www.navalactioncraft.com/blueprints.. Actually, i think it's the other way around xD

Those numbers seem low. Are they for crafting grey ships?

I too am stuck building many Frigates trying to get a Inger BP. But on the whole I seem to get a BP on average every 3rd or 4th ship I craft, not every 20th.

BTW... If you're looking for a quality exceptional Frigate in Oak please let me know. I have a few around...

It's a 1% chance if you build a basic Frigate, somewhere between 5-10% if you build exceptional ones.

Frigate is the only ship that links to the Ingermanland.

Crafting level seems to have no direct influence on BPs dropping (got Inger at craft 31 or 32ish, but can't get Vic BP at craft 50...).

10 gold frigates 0 ingerman bp.    hit lvl 40 made 1 bp got trinc, made trinc got connie and 3rd rate, working on connie and saving up for lvl 3 shipyard

Level 50 crafter, don't know really how many golden frigates I crafted (probably around 10 at least) and still no success :( . Trying also different wood types and noticed that when I craft a live oak golden frigate I get a Mid Grade Note (2/2). It would be cool to have some clarifications about how the system works by numbers. Really frustrating atm  .

Based on API data its a 1% chance to drop from frigates.   Based on peculation from other BP drops and such from about 400 ships we are guessing that each note adds about 3-5% chance to each BP dropping.  It seems each BP off the ship gets it's own roll which is why you get multiple BP drops and Loot seems to have it's own roll also.

So therefore if yo build a Gold frigate i expect you to have a 13-15% chance of a Inger BP

Yes currently Frigate is the only ship you can get Inger BP from, that much the players dug out from the API data developers have provided. Both the quality of the ship and the crafting level have been confirmed by the developers to increase the chances of dropping the BP, but they do not disclose the exact numbers of how much the chances are improved.

I think the worse thing about the BP situation is that there are crafters ( I have a few in me clan) who have ALL the BP's that were easily available post BP nerf. These guys sadly have a complete monopoly which isn't right!  New crafters, have no chance of competing.

Wouldnt exactly call it a monopoly when theres another hundreds of people that can craft the ships :P + Look at the bright side, after you get all the blueprints crafting looses all charm :P
