Any Benefit to Creating a Clan?

For example, does it make it easier to trade within your group or anything cool? I understand the general benefits of having a group and etc, but I'm just wanting to understand what you gain for the 100k.

There is a clan warehouse. It makes it easier for you to stick together as a group and it puts a clan tag next to your name.

You see immediately how many of your clan members are online, who they are, what they're sailing, and if they're in battle, port, or on OS.  Also you have a clan chat window, in case nation chat is too visible.

There are long term benefits to clans as well. If your clan is well respected, outsiders will also want to come and play which = more manpower and resources etc...

Also, if you set up good practices you can build crafting and trading powerhouses and deadly PvP fleets. Even just being an organised group can give a massive edge in battle.
