mouse of war Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 (edited) I've noticed that it's taking a long time to enter battles or open world. Sometimes when I start a battle it's already 30s into the fight by the time I see it on the screen - sometimes I already have holes in my sails etc. Entering the open world is getting even worse - NA just crashes every time I try to enter open world Edited May 20, 2016 by mouse of war

Sometimes when I start a battle it's already 30s into the fight by the time I see it on the screen - sometimes I already have holes in my sails etc. Entering the open world is getting even worse - my machine has just crashed after waiting for over 2 minutes I see three options: - Poor internet connection (high ping). - Not enough RAM. - Problem with HDD / SDD (a little space is littered or damaged / worn).
mouse of war Posted May 20, 2016 Author Posted May 20, 2016 All other applications working as usual, Ping is fine and amount of ram and free disk space is normal and hasn't changed
Jean Ribault Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 I see three options: - Poor internet connection (high ping). - Not enough RAM. - Problem with HDD / SDD (a little space is littered or damaged / worn). You sound like a utility company - they blame all your equipment and wiring right away whenever you call them about faults in their service. It's the first page in their playbook. I have a power desktop setup along with an extremely reliable and fast service. This happens periodically to me in NA, even with nothing else in the house streaming. I almost always have very good ping and FPS in this game, great compared to what others report. However once in a while this game is just dogging it in the splash screen, and usually it's when exiting port. Can't find any related reason why, and it's very sporadic. I couldn't put a percentage on it, but it's a very low percentage of time, certainly less than 10.
Ink Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Since Patch 9.7 Land sighted hardware demands have been increased: Main and the most exciting feature: Land in battles We developed an amazing tech fully replicating open world land in battle instances. This will bring an extra dimension to combat visually and in gameplay (especially when fighting close to land). Expect multiple bugs with this feature including performance related issues. Very large battles close to land will most likely lower your FPS. To minimize the problem we suggest tweaking the settings. Thus it may affect loading time

Stavinsky Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 (edited) Did not see this post earlier, but will take the opportunity to report the same issue here. Before the patch I had some very fast loading time in every aspect of the game, and almost no waiting time when collecting resources or buying the things on the shop. Since the patch I can take up to 1 minute to load from Port to Sea or entering battle, or just have some 30+ seconds of delay when collecting my resources from the buildings. As I did not change a single thing to my computer rig and I have windows pro 7 (64bits) 16GB RAM AMD FX 8 core 4Ghz full SSD disk ( 120 GB for the System with 40 GB free, 1TB and 500GB for the games, both having over 100GB of free space). So if there is any information about why I got those slowing down and if there is any way to correct it ? I did already reinstall the game fully (with a full cleanup of every single files from the game) and it did not make thing better. Edit : Wanted to add that I did see the information upper, but I have talked with other players, and they don't have the same issues. And I don't see how the landscape and new visual would impact the collection of resource in port ? Edited May 22, 2016 by Stavinsky
