Can you open a new outpost in the enemy port? If you have the outpost ( created or previously existing)   can you teleport over there?? do you need to be "tagged" as smuggler to teleport? ..If it is not so...do you leave as smuggler?

And...  if you are attacked by one member of own faction.... can any other member of your faction enter the battle in your (smuggler) side withouth been converted permanently to pirate? (that one I suppose is a big "NO" but would like to be sure...

I can confirm this, i tried it. You can make a new outpost and build production building in an enemy city.

I can't extract (craft) resources from existing buildings in enemy port, smugler flag on. This may be a bug or not so here is a screenshot:

What is the intended mechanic please ?

Best Regards

I'd guess that's intentional, otherwise you could just hide in a dead / low pop nations area forever.

I am ok with the rule whatever it is, but I forgot to mentioin that other guild mates can actually extract resources, so it seems bugged somewhere. It is not clear for me which way is the correct one.

Oh and this was said some posts above:

I believe this behavior changed as of last night. As of today I believe you can no longer craft in foreign ports as a smuggler. I don't know if you can build an outpost or buildings, but you could never teleport there as a smuggler, so I suspect this was just a fix to make it work as originally intended. You can get in and out with trade ships, in with combat ships but not out, but no production is possible.

Yes it seems you are right, after yesterday reboot it is no longer possible to craft resources from buildings in enemy ports. That was confusing for some of us. Thanks for the feedback!

So as a US player I was able to smuggle goods into and out of Mortimor Town.  Now I actually have an idea how much bigger the pirate nation is than the US.  There we're at least 30 ships sitting in the harbor, from 6 different clans.  The amount of resources/matts for sale in the market was staggering compared to Charleston.  It really highlight how the pirate nation has started to snowball and grow.

Fortunately, the smuggling option really opens things up.  I've been thoroughly enjoying running from SORRY gank squads and playing the smuggler.  I feel very much like a 17 century Han Solo.

Well done on this addition devs.
