This is just a query since I struggled to find an answer elsewhere online. Does crafting a higher quality of ship (i.e Exceptional instead of basic) increase the chance of you getting a BP to drop, or is that chance fixed?

Frustrating perhaps , however if BP's dropped too quickly, then you would soon run out of reasons to craft ships at all, and we would all be sailing around in mastercrafted ships.

No we would never run out of ships, we would simply get ships that are actually in demand.

Mid grade notes wouldn´t cost as much as they cost now because a lot of them are "wasted" for ships that are only crafted to get the chance of a BP drop.

I think it is 5% per note increase.

It would be nice to know that for sure.  Also what factor is crafter lvl have?  The API shows many ship BP's as having a 1% or 5% drop chance, so if for example you make a Gold Frig is that 1% +20% + (1% per craft lvl)?

It would be nice to know the formula.

Granted, the drop chance is rather low, but still I will stick by my previous comment, the fact that ships that are wanted....now this second, because I can wait is not really a reason to make it more accessible , rather the devs want you to work for the BP's not just pluck them off the nearest crafting tree......So yes, once you had researched all the ships, swiftly and easily, then there is no sense of purpose in the crafting whatsoever.....so yes you would run out of ships to craft anyhow, as you would have researched and have the ability to build super dooper you cant bend it, ships without having to work for, or grind for......too many people wanting things to be simplified, and or made more accessible, without the grind ...its there for a reason guys.
