CeltiberoCaesar Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Dear Devs, There are always rumors about what the next patch will bring, when the expected wipe will come, how exactly the mechanic will be implemented...etc But what it's unfair is that some players have that info and use it to help/boost/cheat they nation/friends... We have clues that this is happening... If it's not true... sorry. If it IS true...do something, please.
CeltiberoCaesar Posted May 11, 2016 Author Posted May 11, 2016 (edited) Indeed, thats why I'm not ensuring it, I'm aware they might be just rumors... but if the situation I tried to describe is happening, if there are "special" players that have access to an early version of the game and then they are providing that info to their friends/nation... It's not fair for the community. Edited May 11, 2016 by CeltiberoCaesar

Wipes if happen will be announced 30 days in advance. The next wipe that will happen (dont know when) will only reset all ports to neutral on pvp servers, nothing else will be affected. Also. No one knows anything special - even mods. No special information was given to anyone. As usual keep expectations low and you might be pleasantly surprised. Basically always expect the worst something like this "this game will fail as all indie games. Ship combat is good and will get better, the rest will only get worse" ps several old timers (most of them also volunteer mods) were asked to test the bugs on two new ships before the patch, to see if they are not broken and can actually perform before given to testers. We found lately that users dont like broken things during alphas (strangely). 17
CeltiberoCaesar Posted May 11, 2016 Author Posted May 11, 2016 Everythinh clear, thanks for the answer. And no, I dont wont to think the worst hahahaha gor for it, make it better. Alpha (actually beta) are for bug huntting... They are expected, if a tester doesnt catch any bug he didnt earn his salary, I know it hell well. Greetings 2

Greetings Nice that you are someone who understands that If i read one reddit or so there are so many people who claim that the dev´s should extensively test the features before bringing them to the whole community, lol they dont want to understand that we are the main testers.

312_JS Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 As usual keep expectations low and you might be pleasantly surprised. Don't know why, but every time you say that, my expectations rise. Think it's the "might" in there, I always imagine you saying that with a grin on your face. 1

I was told by 'someone' who shall remain nameless, that there was a private forum, that a complete asset wipe was coming in June and it had already been decided. This puts to bed that rumor. Many thanks Admin! Edited May 12, 2016 by Long Beard 1

Mhh. The thing is, the only way they are gong to know that something is badly broken is to roll it out to us 'alpha testers'. It's all well and good getting a few devs to fight each other, but in order for them to see how things pan out, they need to test it on the masses and gather feedback and stats. They got that, listened to the forums, and fixed it. You say you are all for testing, but really you want someone to test it before you test it so you don't lose anything. That aint how alpha's work buddy. As for roll backs. That patch had a lot of changes. Would be silly to roll back everything just because of one issue. Personally, I think we did our jobs, gave feedback and they fixed it. Bravo us 1
