What I have seen last days players quite and play less and less. and all is about the same.

I am max rank and crafting and nothing more to do, or how like pirates can cheat the system to transport ships and not get any penalty.

but I believe to have a game that is attractive long time and fun for players is to make like 10-20 ports for nations that cant be taken but traders ships can go in. so the market get more free then it is. these for not losing players that starts the game and wants to rank up. harder nations to play ( Sweden/Denmark) have much less ports.

pirates is not to chose nation but if they attack own nation they get to be pirate and can only have 4 rates ships as building but can take over higher ships. they have 14 pirate ports in and around Bahamas/ Cuba. They cant take over more ports but can raid towns

free ports can only have navy ships if the nation have a port with in like 4 ports around it cost line or over a distends over water.

for pvp thise is not a hit but for new players want to stay in the game it is needed to do something that protects the new ones so that don't get attacked  they leave port the port for the first times

1. Everybody can use surrender mechanic to send ships. It is not an exploit - its an unfortunate outcome of developers caring for players ;), Feature of sending ships to the docks is very useful for the majority - some players creatively use it to move ships around. Nations use it too and because everyone can do it its not an exploit. But it will be reworked once other promised features are done.

2. Pirates will be addressed but not now. No point to bring pirates in every topic

We know what the problems are and there is no point to advertise before those things will get fixed.

Online will fall to very low numbers before the release, because the inflow is very limited.

Fixing some of the mechanics will take time and its not going to happen fast. Development is a process and is done step by step. They cant be done in parallel and some things will have to wait.

Also. If you are max rank and crafting - You have experienced what an admiral or trader would experience. Join the clan and participate in war effort, if you have not done it already.

You have grind / farm for two weeks just to burn the steps as fast as possible and missed all the fun parts (most probably), and now you are asking for more content to grind, without any enjoyement (most probably) ?

The market is not depending of the number of ports, as you can only have 5 building slots (and build them all in the same port if you wish to), that would just lock the map to a boring situation if each nation got 10-20 ports that can't be taken, im not even sure that the map is big enough for this.

In fact, you wan't more high rank content to keep the interest for the game (everybody knows it's the PvP, RvR) but you want to definitly dissmiss all sort of pvp (except the small/large battle) from the game.

There are no probleme here, or it's just me ?

So we can attack friendly and not get pirate good to know admin. becose this is the way they do it to move ships faster then any nation.

I dont have problem but I do look how they are going to keep players for the game. becose I guess they want to have more players so they can make it even better and now when they have open alpha it is more in portent to have a game that players fell they want to stay and play. or it will die.

You are projecting "your issues" with the game.

There are many players that feel it is a game they want to stay and play.

Not perfect but by the seven seas, it is a awesome game already at this early development. The shortcomings and odd end mechanics do not disrupt the fun of the fight in NA.

Maybe fight the good fights instead of wanting to win all the time ( by all means ) will open your eyes.

It's not my place to disagree with someone's sincere feelings about this or any other game - we each like what we like, and as these are entertainment experiences (and not a job!) no one should be expected to keep doing something they no longer find enjoyable.

With that said, I keep coming back to Naval Action and have accumulated over 300hrs play time. Not much compared to many people, but far more than almost any other game I own, bar Minecraft and Rise of Flight.

I am still only at "Capitan de Fragata" rank (250 crew / level 6) because, unlike many people, I don't care at all about sailing the bigger ships. I am quite happy sailing my schooners around, enough so that I have gotten involved in crafting, built production buildings, and started trading so that I could keep myself supplied with the ships I need and want to play the way I like to play.

I have to admit, it's quite liberating to play this game outside the box of the "Port Battle Meta"... there is still plenty to do and much fun to be had. And I am hopeful the devs will continue to evolve privateer & true piracy gameplay to the extent that my activities will begin to take on an RVR element that is currently lacking. I believe offering additional gameplay modes outside of port battles will be important to give people things to achieve outside of grinding for the biggest ships.

But that's just me. Even if I never played another minute of the game, I would feel I'd gotten my entertainment value from my purchase. The good thing is that I'm still motivated to play, and login nearly every day. There are still many new adventures to have and things to do and experience. I am happy to take my time to savor them.
