mouse of war Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Could this be done? It seems strange that when chasing an enemy (player or AI) they can't hide in a port that is just a stone's throw away
OlavDeng2 Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 I would imagine that when forts are in that ports will be protected by forts, so if you go close to a friendly fort you get their support.
manuva85 Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Right now you could get into combat 200 miles away from your port and bcs of time/distance scaling you could make that distance in battle under 10 minutes.... Does that make any sense? Nope...

Does that make any sense? Nope... This was the fastest and most resource-saving Way to implement Land Battles ASAP. But if you want to you can sail into the open sea to have not such "Unreal" Illusions as you might say.
amosblanco Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 It is already in developer's agenda i believe. It will come to one of the future patches, along with open sea forts (which will replace the previous reinforcement mechanic). Thus, sailing a ship next to friendly coast will be much safer. 1
