Hello,

I have been lurking around this forum for what seems like forever but I suppose In reality has only been a few years. I have seen the community and game grow through YouTube videos and these very forums. I am not well versed in testing nor providing feedback in games but have kept up with the great work you all have been doing. I love the age of sail and sailing in of itself and have been looking forward to this for quite sometime. My question is if now is the right time for a player such as myself to get involved. As I said I felt my qualifications were not up to par to be involved in the testing stage but I would love to be able to experience what I have read so much about.

If you have been reading (specially when "national news" forum was open) you should know by now than most players have forget about being in test mode  so D o not hesitate and join the party

Do not be pushed back by any other factors other than testing different things, ships, factions, explore the land, etc.

 

No one can limit you to do whatever you want to do.

 

Oh and remember, rank only means one can command more crew not that someone is a better player or that is more important.

 

If you slide into your age of sail imagined character while test-playing the game you are in for a superb time.

The combat itself is fun, i been through to many grinds that it killed my motivation to to but for a new guy its far better then what it was, port battles needed work which is due to be implemented shortly and hopefully slow that system down and make it more enjoyable, we just need to wait now for all the ships that have been constructed already to be implemented to give us a huge variety to run around in.

But if you like age of sail for things like pirates you might be disappointed as pirates aren't pirates in this game, they are just another nation and they need to be reworked and given a different concept to make them more unique.
