I play from Australia, where our internet is made from marsupial droppings attached to spiders and sharks and as such our ping is normally pretty bad.

For the last months playing on PVP EU1 I have had 410ms ping as average, this helps role-play in my imagination as it feels like my orders are being truly relayed from quaterdeck to post.

However, in the last week my ping has significantly improved, going to an average of 300ms, is this a local internet thing or has there been some improvement in how/what/where servers are responding ?

Either way...hurrah...but just wondering....

(on a side note..this explains why all my shots are now 1/10th of a second ahead of target and why I am ramming my friends sooner than usual !)

I admire your tenacity, but that would drive me up the wall having 400+ ping. Much respect to Australian players.

Prolly your ISP has done something to improve your ping? idk

I only can say, as a german guy, that the ping is and was (at least for me) very good and constant.

I got a ping of 10 and less.

TEN.....are you in their server room.....TEN.......

We had one govt in 'straya that was going to give us fibre to the home...sadly all their other policies were deemed @#$@#$ by the voting masses and now our target by 2020 is for upto 6 of us to be online at the same time.....we dream the dream.
