Transparent sails in OW

Hi folks,

 

Currently in instanced battles, when you zoom in close enough to your ship, your sails become mostly transparent, allowing you to maintain visibility while getting an almost deck-level view of the action.  I find this view quite immersive and enjoyable, and would like to use in in OW as well.  Unfortunately the sails do NOT turn transparent when I zoom in in OW.  Please allow sails to turn transparent in OW, just like they do in instances.

The sails are transparent for me in OW.  I can also toggle it off.  Perhaps you are not zooming in far enough.  It appears that if you are using the 3rd person view the sails are not translucent.

 

What I would love to see is some way to toggle off the text.  Currently Ctrl H will remove the UI but battle messages and swords are permanent as well as Port names. Sigh ... seems like a little tweak that really could be implemented.   Well perhaps someday.

Suppliment:   In OW: Today I cannot toggle the transparent sails on or off on PVP1.  My sails are transparent on PVP2, but I have not toggled them.

Yesterday I could toggle the transparent sails ... but I can not see through them today will not work today.  Yesterday when zoom in to the closest distance the sails were tranparent (well translucent).

Suggest that if you like transparent sails ini OW - don't toggle them off until this is fixed.
