Salvador Limones Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Hello, I didn't know where to post this exactly, and I've already sent a few bug reports. Every time I'm in port I have troubles loading items and ships. If I enter sometimes it will show the ship slots empty, the inventory empty, the store empty, pretty much everything. It's like it can't fetch information from the server or something. Crafting gets very annoying when every time you craft something you need to wait 5 minutes for the inventory to load over and over again because it can't refresh. This has been happening for the last two patches, but it got worst recently, At the start it would only break a couple of times during a sessions which was fine by me, a game in alpha, understandable, but now it's pretty much the only thing happening. I can describe the problem in more detail if needed... Help please. Cheers.
raskolnikoff Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Most likely something is blocking or limiting your connection. Usually it's antivirus, firewall (on PC or router) or content limiting application (like K9) Please try to disable all kinds of software which I listed and try to play again. If it won't help - please run Connectivity Test from Steam launch option and post report id here or in PM to me (it will look like NA**-****, where * means some letter or number)
Salvador Limones Posted April 28, 2016 Author Posted April 28, 2016 It seems it's neither the antivirus or the firewall, I do not have other applications which would block connection, at least I think so. Would you please instruct me how to do a connectivity test, I couldn't find it.
Ink Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Click on "Play" in Steam, there will be a window with 4 chooses, select the last named "Report Connection Test", then pick a server and run the test, Once it is done, the report name will be copied into clipboard, so you will just need to paste it here
Salvador Limones Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 Hello again. I've done as you have said. The "Report number" is NAS-267535
Ink Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Captain, to clarify - did you pick the same server (where you play) to run the test?
Salvador Limones Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 (edited) I am pretty sure I have picked EU pvp one, on which I play. However if this is not the case I will repeat the process. I hope NAS doesn't mean north american server Edited April 29, 2016 by Salvador Limones
Ink Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Captain, please, send another one. Check before running the test that you still experiencing the issue ingame
Salvador Limones Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 I'm still having the problem. The new number is NAS-267750
Ink Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 In the last report there are packets loss and ping leaps on the way to server, which can be the reason of your lags. What kind of internet connection do you have? (Cable, DSL, wire or wi-fi, bandwidth), does this issue happens once someone else in your network run programs like torrent or watching video etc?
Salvador Limones Posted April 30, 2016 Author Posted April 30, 2016 I have an optic fiber connection connected to my router which is connected to my computer via cable. I have got the optics recently so that might be when the problem started happening... It is known to have spikes at moments, but everything else works fine most of the time. The download rate should be about 100Mb/s and upload around 20Mb/s. Nobody is connected while I play the game and the speed test of the connection shows that the download and the upload rate are what they should be. I've been known to lag a bit now and then in online games, but not regularly, and usually I myself didn't realise I was lagging, only the players I played with. Might be an upload issue? If you think the problem is not in your software I'll try fixing the probem with my internet provider...
raskolnikoff Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 NAS-267750 shows that you have minimal connection issues, but this issues can cause multiple re-requests to our servers and cause described issues. Unfortunately there is nothing what we can do about this, but you can try to switch to 3g/4g connection and check if the game works fine. If it helps, please contact your ISP and try to fix problem with their support
Salvador Limones Posted April 30, 2016 Author Posted April 30, 2016 I understand. Thank you for the support!
