Whats up with uber AI?

ok - i have a few examples, and i think it realy depends on the ship class and how it is build (player and AI)

 

ME: Victory

AI: Pavel

result - 70 leaks and the Pavel sunk within in minutes

 

ME: Pavel

AI: Pavel

result: at the end of the broadside duel the pavel was near her end - it shoots me leaks over leaks and killed crew over crew. I sunk her, but it was realy close.

 

ME: Cutter

AI: Cutter

result: I lost :-)

 

ME: Frigatte

AI: LGV

result: I got boarded from the LGV - ok, i'll take that as bad luck. never happend before

 

ME: Constitution

AI: 3rd Rate

result: I won, was close but i won

 

ME: Santisima

AI: Santisima

result: I left the battle, no chance at all. happens from time to time, but in most battles I win.

 

And the AI sometimes realy likes to RAM you. Most seen when the AI was on a Constituion and when you are on LUV.

 

What i would say with this, it depends realy, sometimes the AI goes into a broadside duell, and sometimes also the slow big ships handle it to stay behind you and shoot you in your back and or gives you leaks ond leaks on the end or damage your rudder at that moment where you need it (turn or whatever).

 

I would not say the AI is OP, but sometimes the angle where they can shoot is a little bit freaky and not normal.

the AI got buged by something i dont know why, but one patch the ai is lovely and then they get retared like now ramming into each other head on or constantly pressing against you or just failing over all.

 

i remember at the beginning when i joined focus testing that the AI got stuck in wind and where bad a manouvers but they could do one thing players couldnt at that time:

 

Sailing in a Line. if i passed an AI back then and sailed in front of them without sharp turns i could drag them behind me. my record were 7 ai pet Victorys.

 

i remember the first time Ai when Open world got tested. it was a shock seeing AI suddenly tacking and wearing with manual sails
