King of Crowns Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Just wondering what the ETA is on a server merge. The population has dropped more than enough for the players to all be merged onto one server. I do think it would enhance gameplay and give those of us who only PVP more to do. My crew sailed around la tortue and Mortimer for 2 1/2 hours w/o seeing anything two nights in a row. many more nights like that and we will be moving onto another game. So I hope something is done soon. I do love this game, and I love that skill required to be good at this game. We don't want to move onto another game but sailing around for two and a half hours looking for pvp is not fun.
Skyhye Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 I am still fairly new to the game (Post Captain). To me PvP in this game is a lot like fishing... never know where or when you will get a bite. Why not try moving on to other areas if your looking for a fight? -Skyhye
Tief N Tote Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 lots of people are waiting for new content as they have maxed there levels. you must always remember this is early access wipes are still coming. not for xp and lvls but for all that you acquired. so why keep building up. i just check the changes play a bit give some feed back and play something else till full release. 2
Ted Nougat Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 What server are you on, and in what timezone? If you're on PVP2, sail down near Jamaica. Or over to Cuba, and then down the Yucatan. I guarantee you'll get a fight if you do so in the very early morning, later afternoon, or evening US time (say, GMT -5). I can't really help you on PVP1. Try sailing around capitols when it's night time in Europe. But don't blame the game because you can't find anyone to shoot at. People are everywhere...
Macjimm Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 But don't blame the game because you can't find anyone to shoot at. . I tend to agree. At least sometimes people are suggesting we create more restrictions and force players into specific styles of gameplay. Often people can make the game work if they are flexible and open minded. We are already forced to touch the keyboard every 20 min to avoid being kicked from a low populated server. More imposed rules don't seem to encourage creativity. Post up a request in the forums for a date, time, and location for a meeting of PVP warriors. (Don't forget to include the server #). Or if you don't like scheduling post it up on global chat in game. If there are lots of interested players you might start something infectious .
Vernon Merrill Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Let's put it this way.... I just cancelled my order with my crafter for a Victory.

Once that server merge was announced people began to evac in great numbers to PVP 1 I'm sure a good amount decided to call it quits for a long while too because the game does get very stale quickly with all the traveling and unwillingness to take risk. They should've never announced that merge in the first place but if I want pvp I can still get pvp on PVP 2 but what I can't do is find others who are willing to take the risk in going in the pvp area go figure. Please remember time zones different areas will likely be more active throughout the week this is an international game with a small pop. Edited April 22, 2016 by Lefort
Cutch Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Once that server merge was announced where was it announced? at best a rumor/possibility, best i could tell. pvp2 is great. I tried both servers and find it to be way more fun. Can find fleets any time, groups work together, no lag, lots of PB action. If i was forced to get on the crowded, pissy, laggy pvp1 server, i'd probably stop playing. Not worth it...

The Pirates are all in Carlisle and Jamaica, desperately trying to snap up the Spanish, French, and Danish timeshares lad. Feel free to stop by anytime.
