No Capture AI Warships on PvE .. can this be changed?

Seeing as the PvE server is literally completely AI driven ... is there a means to differentiate between the 2 servers (PvP and PvE) so that the PvE server can capture AI warships?

 

Its not like we can take another players boat... seeing as we cant even attack each other!!

 

Would like the challenge to take a NPC fleet boat though... Essex, Trin, 3rd rate, ..etc...

 

My sailing group (<7 members online at anytime, typically only 4 of us) has finally gotten up to a few larger ships (Constitutions and the like) and now we cant capture a higher boat. Crafting is increasing, but still not up to a 3rd rate yet. I think our highest crafter is level 27 now.

 

Like some of the other discussions.. I can see setting the limit to the Trin/Bell Poula/Constitution or hopefully even 3rd rates. The way I look at it, is if they are able to attack/sink us, then we should be able to do whatever comes from that battle. Including taking home the prize!

 

Besides we are Pirates ... what else are we supposed to do ... its not like there is an Admiralty we adhere to!

I also play on the PVE server.  There's no reason why you can't just ask a shipbuilder to make you a ship.  Or you can dump resources in to your 27 crafter and try to get him to 35 ASAP to make high grade notes.  A lot of shipbuilders (myself included, 49 crafting) would be happy to make you a boat with provided materials.  

 

I miss capping warships, but it isn't all that bad after having it for a week or so this way.

I currently have 2 Constitutions sitting in my ports ... ONLY because I cant man them. I am 4K XP away though. But if it were possible to grab a 3rd rate... if ONLY to hold onto to it, until I could man it... that would be a step up. I believe in earning the ships. Taking one by capture, fits that, and is just cool ... then manning it, when capable. 

 

Been holding onto one of my Connies for almost 2 weeks now! I can almost smell the oak!!! Maybe by this weekend! muhahaha!

 

Anh, last of a dying breed.

 

ok, so who can make a 3rd rate, that would be willing to do that? I can see a problem already. We (our group) provides our higher crafter with CN's, but only 2 of us can make the Mid Grades... not high enough (Craft XP level) yet, to make the HIGH GN's. So providing those for a "commission" would be impossible.

 

But, how does one ask in the game.. because I don't think the Dev/mods ... approve of forum propositions.
