Eishen Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Love the idea of useful loot (consumables, upgrades, provisions), and the need of managing provisions seems great to me the but I can not see the usefullness of the "loot objects" of your excell table (only usefull to sell them), as you are now payed for your capture this seems only redundant. .... only can imagine them as a substitute for the current "direct $ by damage" system, but the current system - as ilogical as it may seem- makes a good job promoting PvP, as you are rewarded even if you lose.
Slamz Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 what about just food for sailors Why? I guess the idea there would be that ship operation should have a money sink based on "time at sea"? Would have to think about that some more. Not sure I like what it could do to player mindset ("I don't want to sit here and protect the port. I'm losing money on food!")
Captain Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Yes, loot is good and fun! Please god not something like 'food for sailors.'
ZenTex Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 I would love additional loot. I am thinking useful stuff like non craftable mods (that are just slightly better than the normal mods) or items like chests of loot or objects that can be sold for gold, but also vanity items like flags and banners or a specific paintjob for your ship or even just uniforms or pirate costumes for the men on deck. Make them somewhat rare though, they would make excellent money sinks if made tradable to other players.
GrapeShot Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 I would love additional loot ... or even just uniforms or pirate costumes for the men on deck. Gah! Not a crew full of Johnny Depp look-a-likes in black eye liner,
Jean Pual Vilvenue Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Yes of course add loot. You can never know what an enemy ship might have. And of course how do you craft powder monkeys ? Obviously they can only be dropped so yes, we need loot and we need better loot drops more often!
Capt Hornblower Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 drops are definitely need, considering the time invested in taking a single trader a prize, much less a flotilla
Kawa Ahangar Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 I say loot should be allowed for Pirates only as almost everybody want them to have a specific gameplay and exclude them from PB and 1st/2nd rate sailing.

This can not be logical. Loot are items are stored on ships. It should be random thing for everybody. You can not tell France not to attack Brits because their loot is for Pirates only.
HarryButpain Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 ye, solid. I do think though that money should be treated as a commodity item which can be lost at sea..

Ennemy player's traders can still be attacked and loot by everybody but random loot as upgrade/notes/officerS/etc should be allow for pirate ye, solid. I do think though that money should be treated as a commodity item which can be lost at sea.. +1 +1 +1 +1 it would make more players to chase traders and more to escort them!!!!!
