Slamz Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 (edited) This has been mentioned several times. Who is going to patrol around ? (=work) Even if I got paid, you will never see me doing this... I´d do the dishes nearby missing any enemy... I find it a relaxing exercise sometimes. More to the point, though, right now that's basically all any of us can really do: patrol around and hope to find people. Some patrol areas are better than others (enemy capitals) but there's no consistency to "good front line battles". If we could design it so that there's a concept of a "front line" and therefore "front line battles", these little patrols would still exist as a concept but most of us would be able to find fights on that "front". Basically the concept that Planetside and Battleground Europe figured out the hard way many years ago. Seem like every new game (and new game company) has to re-learn this lesson the hard way: if you want good PvP, you need to provide mechanics that focus it. (Players say "oh no we want freedom, we don't want these rules" and then they bumble around on a huge map for a month, declare the game is boring and quit. Player polls are okay as an item of interest but sometimes developers need to understand that players are morons and don't always know what will actually make them happy.)
