hey so i had a gold santi with 3/5 upgrades i had 4 boarding upgrades  fully crewed so i went to battle a fleet order on the last pavel i took it to 500 crew as i had 1000 and bam they killed all my crew i tryed to leave then it pulled me again wot can i do

I wont call that "boarding" upgrades which will help you ^^ I could board you with a 3rd easily

The Mats and the swordfighting books are fine but it is related to their level.

The other 2 upgrades are "shit" - so no "good" crew found.

I wound not wonder myself if I might get boarded when I'm sailing with these upgrades and than loose the fight.

This is no bug! - seems more like the Paval attacked you and got your moral to such a low level that you lost the fight immediately.

What twig said. Wreak havoc at the moral score and it is as good as killing crew, actually might be better.

 

One good trick is to provoke a crew shock prior to boarding and then board. It will be a tremendous result right in the first round.

 

You need specialized humans like marines and boarding parties to enhance the swordfighting and musketry or else you are always working with minimal values with very little bonus margin.
