Sorvesteon Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 The trader snow has more cargo room, and they both have the same maximum speed (assuming the same crafting and upgrades). I heard the Lynx is better at going up wind? Would the Lynx be faster in the OW due to its ability to travel faster into the wind? Which do you guys think is the better ship for trading?
Inigo Balboa aka Ronda Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 (edited) Traders Cutter as for me. Goes up wind as well as Lynx does, but more cargo. Edited April 15, 2016 by Inigo Balboa aka Ronda
Sorvesteon Posted April 15, 2016 Author Posted April 15, 2016 I'm going to have to look into crafting a Traders Cutter then!
Bommel Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 LGV "needs" 240 crew Traders Snow only 60 so there is a huge gap.
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 The Lynx is much more versatile at all points of wind. You get caught with onshore winds and you will be in trouble with all the others. I hope you use all the others.
maturin Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 In relative terms, Trader's Lynx is dramatically faster. Many ships are faster than Snow downwind, and will catch you using chasers if they are not. The only vessels that are faster than Lynx upwind have no chasers, and can only catch you after a perfect tag and some careful shooting.
