Dius Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 So started testing out the new features with 9.71 patch. In particular, Rear Admiral missions. The fight was both fun, engaging & somewhat challenging. The final payout of approx 381'000 Gold for a 1hr mission I think is pretty good indeed. A good PvE step in the right direction. 1
Brogsitter Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 My glassbowle just told me, shipprices will skyrocket. 3
Slamz Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 The only problem is that it was not, in fact, very challenging. It was basically just a bot beatdown where you were never once in any danger. Which is fine, I guess -- I mean that's the nature of PvE across all games, pretty much -- but 381,000 in one hour with no risk and hardly any challenge is going to cause a lot of inflation once everyone starts doing it. 3
Dius Posted April 14, 2016 Author Posted April 14, 2016 Lol I did say 'somewhat challenging' In any case you have to compare to what we had prior to 9.71. This is better, much better... Am having fun, making bank actually enjoying PvE.
Hugo van Grojt Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Great for gameplay fun, horrible for the (already struggling) ingame economy. With these payouts, how much am I supposed to charge for the increasingly harder to craft ships? 1 million for a basic Bellona? 2 million? I know that the economy is not the biggest headache for the devs and their roadmap, but increasing the already rampant inflation in NA is not helping 3
Hugo van Grojt Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 640.000 in 20 minutes Bought one trader Snow full of 1280 Compass wood and sold it in next port for 1.920.000 Gold - I beat the OP. And Brogsitter is right in this case. *dropmic* 3
Ruthless4u Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) And here I am, barely able to rub 2 gold pieces together. And yes I realize I suck at the game lol. Edited April 14, 2016 by Ruthless4u 1
Eldberg Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Not challenging?Try doing a Rear Admiral epic event with 6 ships 1

Fizzer Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Not challenging? Try doing a Rear Admiral epic event with 6 ships Yeah, I've learned that 6+ = 12 or gtfo.
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 The real question is... what are you going to spend it on. Because gold on its own is meaningless. 1
Babble Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 The real question is... what are you going to spend it on. Because gold on its own is meaningless. Not when you dont have any.
Robbert Dole Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Thank you for proving that the last patch is perfectly fine and all the 'I can't sealclub npc's by the thousands' whiners just need to get gud
Dius Posted April 15, 2016 Author Posted April 15, 2016 Not challenging? Try doing a Rear Admiral epic event with 6 ships Indeed, if nothing else it is fun.
Sir Henry de Montfort Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 1 mission and I made 1.4 million. LoL I love the new Fleets
