admin Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 trader movement paths and routes are under investigation. Can you please report the locations of where they don't exist anymore?
Nelson Hornblower Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I was sailing between Victoria and Puerto Real and didn't see a single Trader yesterday (I was sailing between the two for a good hour).
maturin Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 trader movement paths and routes are under investigation. Can you please report the locations of where they don't exist anymore? Haven't seen any contraband-carrying traders between Havana and Bahia Honde, which is usually easy pickings, even given the high player traffic there. Anecdotally, the majority of NPCs seem to be large fleets with SoLs.
Arsilon Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Not a single trader to be found south of Cuba in the shallows around Barcos over several hours yesterday. Looked again this morning and nothing. Actually not a fleet of any kind, really. I did see one AI Spain Navy Brig fleet but that was it. No traders, no other fleets at all.
Ojibwa_Wind Posted April 14, 2016 Author Posted April 14, 2016 In all ports as I have been to the shallow ports and deep water ports too. I sailed from Mortimer to Shroud Cay and did not see a single lone trader. Only traders w/ escort light and heavy escort. I read this is a problem in other locations as well.
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Only traders w/ escort light and heavy escort. Indeed. But personally I do not see it as a problem. Now the lack of contraband is indeed an issue. 1
Anne Wildcat Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I have had an outpost at Island Harbor . A few days before the patch I was able to find trader brigs to attack. Yesterday, did not find 1 AI trader, only large AI fleets. I'll update this post after today. Although do not go much by my word as I haven't had this outpost for very long.
cartoy Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 there are no traders around la tortue and baracoa too, i only saw 1 in about 3 hours
TDS Rus Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) трейдер, пути передвижения и маршруты находятся под следствием. Можете ли вы пожалуйста, сообщайте о местах, где они больше не существуют? Yesterday, I saw here such jambs ships. From lynx to Niagara, including traders. After their passage, any ships for a long time. Screenshot taken at Baracoa. Also swam in the Nassau. Saw how the city came a pack of NPC ships. But then no one Edited April 14, 2016 by TDS Rus
Babble Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 not a single npc was seen last from la tortuge to mortimer town all the way down to jermaine. Around 2 hours of sail.
Atomic Moose Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 there are no traders on the east coast of mexico from at least la bahia to victoria havent seen one since the patch at all also hardly any ai ships are all very few compared to pre patch
Copperbolt Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) No traders in the Danish waters either... Haven't seen one enemy/contraband traider around the Christiansted area since the new patch. Edited April 14, 2016 by Copperbolt
Blackjack McGee Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Two hours between Encontrados and Maracaibo yesterday without traders. Saled east from Williamstad and back about an hour or so and not a single trader.
akd Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 trader movement paths and routes are under investigation. Can you please report the locations of where they don't exist anymore? I saw zero US contraband traders on US coast and a few US trader fleets. Moving down to Key West and Cuba, I saw occasional Spanish trader fleets, but no Spanish contraband traders. Contraband traders are missing?
Inigo Balboa aka Ronda Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 trader movement paths and routes are under investigation. Can you please report the locations of where they don't exist anymore? No contraband traders at Maracaibo region yesterday (from Casigua to Gibraltar). Before the patch I could always see 2-3 of them at any town there, dutch ones south of Maracaibo, dutch and other nations around Casigua-Sinamaica.
The_Scipio Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 haven't seen any traders either contraband, or lone traders from other nations yet, only well protected traderships so far....from own nation. This is bad, and need correction
surfimp Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) trader movement paths and routes are under investigation. Can you please report the locations of where they don't exist anymore? Last night, in a quest to test land-in battles, I sailed from Habana to Tumbado to Bensalem to Bonacca. Was online approximately 7pm - 11:45pm PDT on PVP1, username 'Sanson Carrasco' for Spain. Along the north coast of Cuba, there were lots of Spanish AI fleets and some escorted traders but no solo traders, and no contraband traders that I recall seeing. Between Tumbado and Bensalem I saw very few ships, literally just a couple AI British warships and one Brit player in a Surprise. I sailed the narrow straights from Congrios > Salamanca > Ambergrease Caye, thinking it would be an awesome place to test land in battles, but I didn't see a single ship anywhere. Was a near total deadzone between Xpu Ha and Bensalem. Once I got down to the coast near Morro Chico / Bonacca, I saw more British fleets spawning, but as was the case off Cuba, most were the large fleets of SOL squadrons, along with smaller 2-3 ships fleets. There were some traders, but none with contraband, and all had escorts. One British trader Lynx had 3x Privateer escort... must've been transporting the Queen herself! Global chat was full of people reporting the same thing concerning traders. The above made it difficult to test land-in battles as, near Cuba, I couldn't find something to attack that wouldn't make me turn Pirate, and when I got down to Bonacca area, it was hard to find something that wouldn't totally overhwhelm me. Eventually I took on a Trader Lynx / Lynx combo. Was able to capture the Trader Lynx but then got wrecked by the newly much more accurate shooting of the AI Lynx... which also sank the captured Trader Lynx for good measure. LOL! crice Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 YES please do this. Very important part of the game play for people that was gone after one patch. I can sail as Spain from Capital to a far away neutral port and see nothing to attack, and that was something I really enjoyed.
Carljcharles Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 "Can you please report the locations of where they don't exist anymore?" Seems like anywhere I sail. But pre-patch plenty of lovely traders of all types around Vieques and local ports. Post patch - one lone trader bring in about 40 minutes of sailing all around the area.
CaptVonGunn Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Bring back the lone traders. Not all traders had escorts back in the day. A good portion of XP and gold was made in the game buy attacking traders and boarding them. Boarding too is a big part of XP and gold to in this game. AI combat ships too. Thank you You know you can still board and capture ANY AI right? You just dont get to keep the warships.. you get an extra Gold payout on the post battle screen for the ones you capture
iR_Willow Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Seems to be alot of traders on the south west coast of cuba, but nowhere on the north coast and US coast save for that one gross venture fleet every blue moon.
Wrongway Peter Peachfuzz Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 (edited) I spent an hour and a half last night between Utila, Ruatan, Bonacca and Truxillo, a place that was alive with all types of AI ships before the patch. Saw 0 traders of ANY country (contraband or otherwise) and only a couple AI ships of any type. A good portion of the time the sea was completely empty of sails. This has become about as exciting as watching paint dry. Edited April 15, 2016 by Wrongway Peter Peachfuzz
Flamigant Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Yesterday I was at island harbour and noticed not one trader AI. There used to be a huge amount of AI trader traffic there. Also in our Dutch waters there is almost no more AI Traders.
