Most socialist cant tell the difference between capitalism and stupidity or ignorance.

Who knows the reason for the high price. You dont for sure but maybe the crafter does. Perhaps its one of his first attemptz at a sale and just experimental or perhaps like me he uses the shil sale screen for storage and puts his ships for sale knowing they wont sell amd will be held for him, or perhaps he just hates the people who use that port and figures he will exploit them if they must have a ship.

But yes yets blame capitalism.

I meant to put another 0 on that, my bad, I've heard Americans really like those ships so I put it up on market. It is a Plaid Pilot snow, built early February. Its a good fighting ship, copper bottomed, If you wish to purchase this amazing ship please contact me in-game, username Toast. I can ofcourse up the price for this one of a kind collectors item.

gold snow was more than 220 000 some updates ago, price of all ships are going down since the change done to the Note,

In this case it is too high priced and you are not going to buy it, and this doesn't deserve a tread

Lol ruthless is selling an exceptional Renome in key west for 650k, looks like the redeemable he got at launch.

Man what a rip off that is lmao.

Sometimes I put up ships at very high prices when I want to dry dock them long term.  The problem is, someone usually comes along and buys the ship that I thought I was putting up for a ridiculous price.

I'm betting that's what ruthless did with his Renome, might buy it just to tick him off lol.

you, in particular, did not like this thread, it's like I insulted you specifically or something

and as for the people who are discussing pricing and whatnot, while I agree that some discussion can be made from this post

it seriously was just a joke about an overpriced ship, why are so many people mad about that?

Nothing wrong with discussing pricing or the patches potential impact on it.

Justme is just being a %#*% towards me threading to buy a ship that was put on sale by mistake.

You really don't get it, this thread is useless, that is basically what i was trying to say.

I don't feel personally affected by it.

Enough capitalism for you?  Joke is on SirWebster and his ridiculously underpriced Frigate.....

Zayel is a very generous customer :)

Frigates in particular are a very poor barometer for ship prices.  5 blueprints drop off the frigate, one of them being the Ingermanland.

Everyone and their grandmother was after that blueprint, and shipbuilders were conceiving exceptional frigates like couples in a log cabin with 2 feet of snow outside and nowhere to go.  They were literally dumping exceptional frigates on the marketplace because they simply wanted enough money to cover the purchase of 4 mid-grade notes, so they could try again until the blueprint dropped.

The money tap in this game is high at the moment.  It's out there for very little effort.  Shipbuilders realize this and are charging the grind monkeys appropriately.

You should see the batshit stupid prices on La Habana.

We have trincos for 750k and stuff like that on a regular basis. Last dumb thing is a blue Inger for 1.1M.

Wonder who pays for that lol.

There is a dutch saying: 'het is waard wat de gek ervoor geeft.'

Roughly meaning it is worth whatever you can get for it.

If you can make 1.500.000 on a snow it is not the price that is strange, but the fact someone will actually pay that for it. :)

I would agree those prices are relatively high, but since the economy right now is a bit out to lunch then buying high for a ship might actually be worth it if you can use it to capitalize on a quick profit, ship price included.  Common sense sometimes doesn't matter if the profit is there.  So you should keep those high prices up, since as you can see, those situations arise and you can actually sell it.

When the devs find a way to permanently "fix" the economy, then this phenomena will (or should) go away.

You hit the nail on the head with that.  The payout for capping a 1st rate in a rear admiral mission is close to 300k.  If you buy a victory for 3 million, you can make the investment back in 10 hours.
