Jeheil Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 For PvP only (not missions or AI fleeting) when you are in waters that are inside the 're-inforcement zone' then perhaps the battle entry timer could be extended for the nation whose waters in which you trespass. This stops the abuse of drawing big fleets in for farming but allows a nation to defend its close waters. Example. French (gits) attack 4:1 a Brit Trader off the coast of Port Morant. The French have 90 seconds (or perhaps a bit longer) for more ships to enter. The combat is in Brit Reinforcement Zone and as such the time is TRIPLE for brit PLAYER forces to enter the battle. Or some such. Outside of the Birt Reinforcement Zone the timers are of course equal (which at the moment would be 90 seconds). I think 90 seconds in general is a little short...but thats another topic. 1
EricKilla Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 I think this is a great idea, personally. Nothing is more frustrating than watching a friend get tagged, and the wind's right at that angle that you make it there JUST after the battle closes, and you end up launching on an expletive filled tirade as you listen to your friend getting slaughtered over TeamSpeak. I think this, combined with their shore battery idea, would be amazing.
