Justme Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Myself and I believe a few others are under the impression that the pirate exploit of fighting each other for fast leveling and gold was fixed, and they can no longer exploit being a pirate this way. However I still see a lot of post by players saying it's still possible and is still being used. Try searching and well, given the subject matter it's hard to narrow down a bit lol. Could we get some clarification to settle this please?

Long Beard Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 AFAIK, they have an internal system which can detect XP farming. Pirates can still attack other pirates, but if its for the purpose of XP farming, it can be detected. Or so they say....
Mongoose McMoose Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Yes, devs said that they now track PVP XP and gold vs. number of PVP kills and deaths a player has. So if someone has gotten tens of thousands of PVP XP while getting very few kills, they will be watched for farming.
Blood Eagle Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 You can farm fighting 1v1 with a friend, certainly so if your sinking ships while doing it. Lets say two people come together, agree to buy basic connies for the purpose of farming. You basically have 7 sinks before one of you have to buy a new basic connie. In that time you will farm a good amt of gold and xp, and even if you can't recover 100 percent of the funds for the connie, you will come close. The benefit of said method is that you don't have to sail around looking for missions that drive people to quit the game.
