Sir Richard Bolitho Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 How do you understand Pelew's sights visuals, how do you "read" the white lines, what are they signifying? Sorry I find this confusing.
Galileus Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 How do you understand Pelew's sights visuals, how do you "read" the white lines, what are they signifying? Sorry I find this confusing. You have two layers of white lines - strong and weak ones. Strong ones represent a single cannon (that will shoot if you press space) - they show the whole cone of the shot, as it can deviate to the left or right. At the range at which cannonball should (it can deviate in range too) fall into water the cone will disappear - though this is hard to see from the shooter's perspective. Weaker white outline shows the cones of fire of all other cannons combined - from the maximum left deviation of left cannon to maximum right deviation of right cannon and everything in-between. The weaker white outline is used to aim the whole broadside.
Jeheil Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 The longer you hold aim, the narrower the lines / arc will become until they reach optimal. Then its down to the dispersion rate of your cannons (which Pellews helps reduce)
