surrendered ships sinking not giving kills/assists

i've noticed some players from a certain faction who i will not name surrendering just before sinking to deny the kill, im not sure if this it the right place to post this but im pretty sure thats a bug/exploit

Surrender should be restricted with armor less than 3/4 and or sinking in progress. Simple mechanics abuse.

Captain, the issue is known. At this moment it works like this to prevent reverse exploits with surrender
