All this and more in this weeks A Letter to the King. Good episode this week, so much better without the salt so will start watching it again:D 2
Jeheil Posted November 28, 2016 Author Posted November 28, 2016 Only 7 Port Battles this week, but pretty much every nation gets involved, some fantastic battles. The new patch cometh...lets hope it gets us all back into the Biff. 5
Jeheil Posted December 5, 2016 Author Posted December 5, 2016 The Day of the Septa-Bomb, 300+ captains, over a 100 ships sink, taking thousands of sailors with them, all this and more in this episode of A Letter to the King. 3
Jeheil Posted December 12, 2016 Author Posted December 12, 2016 The new patch has landed, perhaps less than hoped for but also better than feared. In battle we saw fewer PB's than usual but some spectacular biffo. All this and more in this weeks A Letter to the King 1
Jeheil Posted December 19, 2016 Author Posted December 19, 2016 The pain in spain comes mainly from the Dane, Frenchmen assploading, Brits on the hoof and much PvP event fun and not much more in this weeks A Letter to the King. 3
Jeheil Posted December 27, 2016 Author Posted December 27, 2016 Santa has delivered land in port battles, a cracking defence down at Trinidad and some annoying truce melarkie so we can all argue with our families, all this and more in this weeks A Letter to the King 1
Jeheil Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 The US are the first nation to take a fully contested port under the new system, the French and the Brits trade blows North and South of the Windward Islands and much more in this weeks A Letter to the King 4
SirSamuelHood Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Really enjoyed the latest episode, keep up the good work and happy new year, Jeheil.
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Aye. A good 2017 full of new content Jeheil. As a personal thingie I would, certainly, enjoy more of it with a taint of roleplay who knows it might set a trend. 2

EDIT: Sorry Jeheil, but I'm pretty sure you won't mind this shameless plug for a link to a poll on the status of the game...So many people watch your thread, so I figured it would help Edited January 3, 2017 by van der Decken 1

Jeheil Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 No worries on the poll and when you say RP you mean in my vids or the game. I tried one in vid mode...but I kept slipping out....and it also became 'even more' English flavoured. 1
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Nothing bad with being English flavoured after all I miss the old national RP journals threads, they were very good and entertaining 1

Jeheil Posted January 9, 2017 Author Posted January 9, 2017 Spain reclaims Islamabad, the US falls out of the alliance and the Danes put a knife to their throat, the Brits and the French go at it again and indeed everyone gets a piece of the biff. 3
Jeheil Posted January 16, 2017 Author Posted January 16, 2017 Possibly the most exciting Port Battles to date under the new system, every nation is having a crack, some ROE issues and some signs that perhaps numbers are beginning to pick up...all this and more in this weeks A Letter to the King. 2
Jeheil Posted January 23, 2017 Author Posted January 23, 2017 It's a week of bizarre double action, where almost every port that was attacked was attacked twice, lots of nations involved, lots of new players, some good scraps and a look at whats coming in 2017. All this and more in this weeks A Letter to the King. 2
Jeheil Posted January 30, 2017 Author Posted January 30, 2017 America gets her revenge, Danes get nightflipped, French and Spain on the offensive and 300 times a charm for the Brits in Trinidad. All this and more in this weeks A Letter to the King 4
Jeheil Posted February 6, 2017 Author Posted February 6, 2017 Screaming at Screening, Bored by Boarding and Flipping Angry at NightFlipping. All this and more in this weeks Naval Action. 4

Jeheil Posted February 7, 2017 Author Posted February 7, 2017 Not at all, I simply say, forget the past as far as stuff and things (they did this) melarkie. I know what I think I know as to who did what, but that simply isn't the topic, the topic is game-fun-sustainability. How do WE all get access to fun without having one side get the hump and walk off.
z4ys Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 The problem is: When there is a winner then there has to be a loser. So someone will be upset you can't prevent it (Except there is someone who likes to lose). What could be done is that after a certain point teams get mixed again. New game maybe better luck this time. But that can only be achieved by a forced system. Why should the winning side give up their advantage? Why should the losing side stay when there is no hope that it will get better for them. Or would someone still play against the same team when it beats you over and over again? I don't think so. You would stop playing or change something. And best way to change it would be to make new teams. 1
Jeheil Posted February 7, 2017 Author Posted February 7, 2017 I don't see it as winning or losing so much, its about getting a good fun fight. Euro position "I want a contested fight in my prime time. I don't want to wake up at 2am to defend a port" Non-Euro-position "I want a contested fight in my prime time. I don't want to wake up at 2am to defend a port" You see the difference !!! We got wolloped in one of our only THREE Aussie timezone PB's in the last 4 months by an undermaned fleet of combined allies. The loss didn't bother me at all. We had great fun...and I am talking about the whole Aussie fleet that got mostly killed ! 2
