Myself and I know a few others have always wanted what the developers supposedly originally intended, which is to make pirates the hardest faction in the game.

I have always planned to switch to pirate, the real question is to do it now before any signifigant changes which may screw up my progress, or later after the ( hopefully ) major changes are made.
