Keep the metagame chat out of the RP section please.

As the new lord protector of Jeremie i invite all who sail under the black to a free rum and 100 pieces of eight to bet freely in the casino of dread. Yarrrr!

I would rather have the free rum and 200 pieces of 4

The Pirates are a Nation because we have formed it as such as a player base. We have come together to form the Coalition which holds all the Major Pirate guilds allowing us to unite and fight as a single unified force.

The pirates are a nation because the devs allowed it.

You play this game because the Devs allow it. Difference? I think not.

Devs allow pirates to have Ai reinforcements, allowed to take ports, allowed to craft first rates, and from what I heard attacking other pirates do not gain you xp or gold. devs have turned pirates towards everyone else, unifying them into a nation.

These are pirates we are talking about, not a nation.

Anyway this is not the place to argue about what should and should not be, we can take that to suggestions thread where there are already hundreds on this topic.

No one has reinforcements.

All I see here is you attempting to force your own opinoins on an entire community. Do you think if they took things away from thr Pirates they would fracture and suddenly all start killing each other?

Nope. The community is what makes us a Nation in our own right. If Brits were able to attack other British I am sure we would see more Brit on Brit than Pirate vs Pirate.

Oh well I thought the pirates were united because they would like to laugh when reading all Lord Roberts' complaining posts

Yes no one AT THE MOMENT has reinforcements, did before.

And no, your community is not what makes you a nation, the game mechanics do. technically you are a nation even if you band together or not,  you can do what every other nation can do...

Like i said, this is not the place to talk about this.

I almost didn't post in here because of the bile and froth that people spill here and it's usually folks who haven't been there that infect these threads.

However, the pirates who attacked Jeremie over the course of weeks have always been exemplary in their conduct and we had so many memorable and good fights without attitude on both sides that I want to congratulate them for their deserved win - there were close calls before but the last battle was a true nailbiter but I am almost glad to lose it because we are no longer shackled to the defense of that port.

I have my doubts about the viability of port battles and the current BR requirements though. They are very hard to achieve for the attacker. We didn't bring any first rates to this fight yet it was still artificially close. I dread the day El Morro style forts are in the game, this would make port captures truly impossible.

We'll give you free rum, in addition to 400 pieces of four- and the chance to fight for a honorable cause

Congratulations! Very good fight and well deserved for all the determination. Hope you put the casino hours on the same timer, otherwise there are so many lures out there... :)

I saw the fight in the stream. It was a damn good job of Royal Navy. Nice to see that sometimes you are fighting not only the number. Thank you for tactical lesson, it was cool.

this was only a matter of time as the largest nation (pirates) allied with the Danish so massively outnumbers the British Nation.

Ok

Yes some of the brits seem to be the best skilled so far from what I have seen. An fine example for all us too strive for.

Gratz to the Pirates! Determination goes a long way :)

It was an interesting battle indeed, and was surprisingly close given we were rather out-classed and out-gunned. I don't really see why people need to act so immature over it though; Sure, we lost a port, a port that we defended successfully against countless Danish and Pirate onslaughts, but at the end of the day it's a game. You win some you lose some. :)

And this is why this news is so interesting!

That port is probably the hottest spot on the map right now. Sounds like it was one of those battles that every player looking for inspiration/tactics and skill should watch....

which brings my following question:

Is there a recording for us noobs to watch?
