Spawned without a ship

First time in the game and I spawned without a ship. Not sure if it's me doing something wrong, the Port UI is obviously a prototype. But I thought I had the basic ship selected. 

 

I was stuck in the ocean with no ship and no controls, all I had was the sea and a chat window. This happened twice, in different servers. A couple of players were extremely nice and helpful but unable to solve my shipless state. 

 

Most of the keyboard commands didn't work (Esc and CTRL H were both tried, with no luck). M was the only key that did something, when it bought up the map.

Captain, as the first step, please, check that router/software is not blocking ports 7770, 8089, 5672, 5222, 8080, 21020-21036, 7401-7600 for the game, also turn off all programs which use internet heavily (like torrent programs, netflix clients), disable antivirus, turn off k9 web protection filter or similar to that filters.
Also, please try to set Compatibility with Windows 7 on the both client.exe and client_,exe files (here \SteamApps\common\Naval Action) and also update the GPU drivers in case they are outdated.
There has been aslo mentioned this workaround that helped a couple of Captains:
 

A possible solution i discovered is setting all your ingame settings to minimum, including your resolution down to 640. then closing down any programs or apps you have running in the background, like everything apart from antivirus and steam, no matter how little power these programs consume. After a restart, the game usually works fine after ive done this, and spawned into open world. settings can go back to ultra and it should work fine for the remainder of the session.

my friend hav same problem. He reinstalled game, installed newest GPU drivers, changed everything to minimum, turned off all aplications, deleted character 2 times. When hes restarting game sometimes he can go out from port once, but when we ending mission or he come back to port and trying to come out, problem coming back. He played without any problems few houres before 23 March and all was ok. Maybe last update maked this problem

 

He works on Win7, on strong PC, hardware requirements are not problem for sure

When hes restarting game sometimes he can go out from port once, but when we ending mission or he come back to port and trying to come out, problem coming back. He played without any problems few houres before 23 March and all was ok. Maybe last update maked this problem

Captain, please ask him to run connection test report, 4-th option in Steam Launcher, then post the number here (it is like NAS-12345 - copied in clipboard once sent)

I've had this appen sporadically if the connection fails or times out while leaving port.

in my case there are no any connection problems. So are there any chances to solve this problem? Its little frustrating cause all was working fine and guy was playng game couple of hours, now he cant play and cant give it back to steam for recompensation.

I changed modem and created new internet connection now all working fine, maybe it will help someone
