Zisme Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 it would be nice if they opened up the purchase of fleets to those that didn't know you couldn't buy them after the low level.. I have limited time to play and I dont always get on when my squadron mates are. I could really on reinforcements to help me move ships and traders...I never knew there was a level limit on the fleet option. can this be removed so I can purchase some cutters ect to sail with me now.
Vernon Merrill Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 However, the best part of the patch is the not being able to attack while invisible/invulnerable.... Hopefully that will prevent that stupidity of people hiding in ports while their friend starts battle directly out front... So ridiculous 2
Lord_Howe Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 I find the wording of this one a little confusing. As far as i can tell it simply means that you cannot 'Join' a battle in progress while you are invis/invuln. not being able to start a fight yourself from this condition has always been the case as far as i know. I don't think that will prevent the folks sitting in port joining a battle that their friend starts outside... it will simply delay their entry by 60 seconds? Not a bad thing.... seems like it should always have been that way. Just not sure its that big of a fix either.

So ridiculous Well this can still happen unless the invis. and invul. is longer then the 2 min battle timer.
von Beckett Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Excellent news.... now PVP I hope will become much more common. 2
beagleplease Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 They removed it because groups with 10+ 3rd rates and up were using it to create much needed pve content for themselves. Now there is nothing for large groups of players to do other than split into smaller groups which is great isn't it for a multiplayer game where 25 guys can gfight in battle together, oh wait no its actually shit.
Barbarrossa Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Be careful what you wish for.. you might actually get it.

Those 25 man groups could, uh, pvp maybe for 2x XP? Now that reinforcements are off, its the perfect time!
Ruthless4u Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Those 25 man groups could, uh, pvp maybe for 2x XP? Now that reinforcements are off, its the perfect time! Because the game is flooded with players looking for 25 vs 25 fights right?
Blood Eagle Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 The only way to get the devs to do something is find a way to circumvent their grind, then they go in patch mode and are willing to break the down to force you to grind.... LET THE GRINDING BEGIN
surfimp Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 I'm finding much more PVP now than I ever did before. I sail small fore-and-aft rigged ships in enemy waters in search of player traders. I'm now a much more credible threat - and the player traders' buddies have a real reason to try and sink me. It's such a huge improvement and makes the OW much more interesting for all involved. I hope reinforcements never come back.

No No No No No No No No, and once again No! Terrible things! I see you're flying the black. Why in Henry Morgan's name would you want to see enemy tradeships, rich for the taking with 2 extra annoyances that do nothing more than waste your time? They're not powerful enough to stop someone plundering your trade ship, they just mean that after you've boarded and captured the thing you have another 20 mins to waste swatting flies. If you don't have clannie to escort you, I'm sure there will be plenty takers if ye offer up some gold. AI fleets were designed to help new players with missions etc (or so I believe). In fact, rather than allow them for higher levels, they really should make it so you LOSE your AI fleet when you hit that level. Saw a Flag Captain sailing a Constitution the other night with 2 AI cutters. That's just wrong!
