If I fill a port with captured ships will I still be able to enter it?

Is there a building upgrade to store more ships?

You can dock 5 ships and enter while in a ship temporarily raising it to 6. You have to leave in one ship.

 

There are no upgrades. New outpost(s) should be enough.

No upgrades for more slots in one port but you can have multiple ports with 5 slots.

Thanks. Yeah with outposts is plenty of ships to own but I was thinking long cruises away from the shipyard where I want to break them down. Not locking myself out was the main thing.
