dm1985 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 One thing I've noticed that's occurred as a result of one of the most recent updates (not sure which one), are troops moving around on their own whenever they feel like it. I like that they do this because I've noticed a lot of times if I've got too many brigades close to each other they'll try to move around to get a better firing angle on an enemy brigade. However, I'm also noticing that they tend to move around a little too much, especially when there's absolutely no reason to. While I understand that this feature might have been implemented to represent lower level commanders taking initiative and doing their own thing, it happens a little too frequently to be realistic if that was the aim. I've had brigades in the middle of battle (in a good fighting position) start to move obliquely on their own for no reason which ends up causing them to retreat because they start taking more casualties. It is not as big of an issue in the smaller battles early on, but by Day 2 or Day 3, it forces me to micromanage all the brigades more, just to keep them from constantly moving.
Husserl Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Indeed, it is the auto micromanagement system that causes these moves. We shall improve it further. Meanwhile the Hold command can help to disable these auto moves when is needed.
