Despairbear Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Sooo......My question is one of game etiquette:Attacking a ship of your own faction who is carrying contraband, jerk move or totally legit? Why or why not?
kitsunelegend Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Legit, because they're carrying contraband, which is illegal, hence why it's called contraband in the first place. Think of it as you're the police making a drug bust on some drug laden ship or something. Thats pretty much how it is in my book.
Quineloe Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 why would it be a jerk move, they are npcs and killing them doesnt matter in any way.
McFatts Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 why would it be a jerk move, they are npcs and killing them doesnt matter in any way. This ^. They are just npc fodder for you at the moment. NPC's have no effect on your nation.
scottydog Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Dealing with Pirates sailing under the British flag doesn't bother me to much. A certain Cerberus skipper thought it was quite in order to drive his ship between me and a prize we were taking. The Boarding action was well under way when he did this and even though his ship was between us and our prize it didn't affect the outcome. This is almost as bad mannered as those little Tinkers continue to blast Captains who've raised the White flag. Anyway Captain Get REKT didn't get his way and Get F*****D ! Bless you every one and Happy sailing.
Cragger Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Contraband marked trade ships are just there to give players something to do. NPC trade ships have no impact on the economy other then generating reasources on being captured.
Donjuan Dimarco Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Nah if a Nation is acting smart, they use gentle agreement within their Nation and their allies. Not to weaken economics own nation and allies should be clear. Unfortunately some captains won't consider this.

The only way to really limit this is it can be only used by traderships and nothing else
Eishen Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Agree as most smugglers, i do quess, using it for ferrying a ship. The only way to really limit this is it can be only used by traderships and nothing else this will dramatically change -for better or worse- soon, as we will not be able to send ships to outpost no more. Attacking player smugglers of your faction, thought allowed by design, is seems as "bad etiquette" as most of them are used really to disrupt enemy economy 1
