xAzDKr Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 (edited) Sounds unnecessarily complicated.. Why not just auction your ship off in chat to the highest bidder, I see it going on to some extent already.. Edited March 19, 2016 by xAzDKr

TheGrey Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 I don't see the point ! You just put your ship for sale at right price and whoever like it will buy it .. simple but regardless of that the game does need a ' Trade ' channel .

Pigafetta Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 The auctioning sounds like a good idea simply because the seller will reach a larger amount of people. I would say that should be possible to auction anything... 1
Wilson09 Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 (edited) Simple suggestion. Expand the buying / selling contracts to make it a real auction house for ships / upgrades / BluePrints. Would not interfere with the buying / selling contracts (that puts a limit on trading). Trying to sum it up: advantage: - reduces transaction cost (time, extra travelling for meetings) - chat more readable (no trade offer spamming) - ships of no personal use (durability 1-4) can be sold to players - any auction type can be implemented (dutch auction / English type auction and so on...) - prices more obvious, law of market "one price" applies - better trade for upgrades /Blueprints - suits more the newbies and casual player as you save a lot of time, right now hardcores are favoured as they can have a look at the chat 18h per day.. disadvantage: - less player interaction over chat, reducing "social life" (thx mate, nice to meet you) - less small battles (want to get rid of my ship) - less "bargains" and negotiations possible - less feeling of having acquired something "special" over bilateral contracting / negotiation over chat I really´d like to get rid of my Niagara except. Dura 4 ship....I just don´t like Niagaras. Anyhow, trading works, the either way or the other. But I´ve always been a big advocat of any type of auction.... Right now, the crafted dura 5 ship auctions are auctions (ask price, take it or leave it auction), but limited only to dura 5 ships and not less, no modules or BPs. Edited March 27, 2016 by Wilson09
AKPyrate Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 I'd be okay with the auction idea, but keeping it limited to 5 dura (or whatever the max is for that rate) ships would be good. That way captured ships aren't flooding the market. 1

That way captured ships aren't flooding the market. Or we just get a simple Dropdown menu too, where you can select the dura you want 1

Cpt Farragut Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 There is no reason this can't be a player driven site. If people want it, it should be reasonably easy enough to make.
