Last few weekends...lots of chasing around and standing off....this weekend the Pirates and the Brits slugged it out are Parrot Cay, in 3 massive pitched battles, both sides thought they won, the Brits sank alot of Pirate ships...the Pirates sent a Victory to the bottom (using Taliblam immolating 3rd rate tactics :) ). It was simply great fun. Well done all for taking place....lets have more like this....you earn more XP and Gold in two hours PVP  than you would in a day of mission grinding...and you have all the fun of the biff.

Hurrah....and bring it yer scurvy dogs !!

In this battle we had just left a large 20 on 20  battle, about the 3rd big engagement of the day....and as we came out....there were bajillions of Pirate dogs chomping at our heals...much fun ensued in a 25 Pirates take on  v 18 Brits in a battle of major proportions.

Oh and next time I record a battle, Ill be more conscious of commentary...I was kinda overly focused on not sinking or ramming a clanny.

Well what another super fun weekend, them there Pirates have gone all Captain Flint on His Majesties finest, such outrage must be answered with shot and ball.

Broken down into the 'two parts', the initial charge and the thin red line making a last stand, although the ship count looks close, the Pirate scum turned up with a bucket load of 3rd rates and heavily out BR'd the British Naval forces. This one was going to hurt :

Part One (the onslaught) :

Part Two (this is where we hold them ) :

It was a great battle and the biffo the pirates brought that weekend was also well appreciated.

I know you guys had 5 3rd rates to 1 and we had a Bell each...not sure if BR counts a value for towers ? That may even things out then.

We had a Bell and a 2nd 3rd rate show up a bit later in the biff too.

Sadly, given the demise of the player base on PvP 2, our clan has up sticks (dropped all our gold n lovely buildings and sailed off to PVP 1...which hurts our Aussie contingent by about 100ms of additional ping pain :( )

I don't know exactly, we were down a couple people and two of our 3rds didn't fight, they capped towers.

Was fun. Too bad a bunch of people are now jumping ship right as things get interesting. Don't really understand why. There's plenty of pvp to be had in the Haiti/Mortimer area.

I really don't like that our clan transferred servers, however, there really is little choice....200 players online in a map that takes 2 hours to get from one spot to another to defend a port etc....although you fine piratey dogs brought the biff and we were very much hurrah for that....for too many of our clan it wasn't enough.

We have moved to PvP1 and there are a 1,000 online within an hour of server restart. it is a vibrant, dangerous and exciting place to sail...you CANNOT AFK sail....

Once 2 other large Brit Clan's moved, our choice was to stay on PvP2 until the game 'picked up' players again (could be 6 months) or move to where there is ALOT more action.

I wish the pop on PvP2 hadn't halved twice in the last 3 months....but it has.

The move is a pain...you take nothing but XP....but...seeing 50 sails as soon as you leave a capital port....well....yay !!

Pottering around Port Royal doing some research for a 'speed' video when the Brit's (AUSEZ and RGL) called for more to attack Mosquito Cay that had been snaffled by the Danes yesterday, got there 10 mins to late...but then the Spanish hit Tantun Cuzamil to the North....initially the Brits were outnumbered 10-1...but we trickled in....and in the end.....well...
