Blood Eagle Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I'm amused that so many players wanted to run and hide, grind out boring PVE content in the hopes to dominate PVP. They have moved over to Zerg nations such as US or UK, roaming the high seas for enemies that don't exist. How does one think that having a large ship that can't catch anything, on the zerg side, is going to lead to a fun experience? You simply are going to have no targets as your targets are low in number because your on the zerg side, and when you do find someone they will run because no one wants to fight your big ship. The only way you are finding a fight is if you do a port battle, which mostly will be empty port battles.. Congrats, you have won the game.
Mrdoomed Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I dont get the pve grind either on a pvp server. I allways attack players and relish in jumping in thier missions to ruin thier xp grind. Maybe we will meet on the sea sir and have some fights.
Prater Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 The only time you run into US zerg is if you are foolish enough to go outside Cabo Canaveral, the crafting center and where most people grind.
jodgi Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I dont get the pve grind either on a pvp server... Simple. PVP has loss and PVE doesn't. It's no mystery, we've been nagging over this for ages. 1
Prater Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Simple. PVP has loss and PVE doesn't. It's no mystery, we've been nagging over this for ages. I had a player yesterday in a Trinc when I was in a Renomee. He had me down to 2 ticks on one side, 1 tick on the other, and I had no other armor. He had full armor except for missing half his stern. I was down to 200 crew and he was down to 200 crew. He had both broadsides fully loaded, I was right behind him trying to get another rake off. The timer expired, and I was seriously considering leaving the battle because I was very certain I had no chance of winning, but he left instead. His next broadside would have killed me, even if I killed 50 of his crew. He still left. He had maybe 5% chance of losing and he still left the battle.
Blood Eagle Posted March 17, 2016 Author Posted March 17, 2016 on PVP2 only time US players will fight you is if they have 5 times the number you do. 1
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 on PVP2 only time US players will fight you is if they have 5 times the number you do. Ah ! You must always praise their confidence sir. And never back down from a fair brawl.
Jake Newport Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Dont think you can expect every player to just jump into PVP. It is sometimes a tough grind as a new player to get to grips with how to sail and what the best tactics are. Even now with the new wind and stuff if you arent good at manuel sailing it might not be that rewarding to do PVP. You finally captured a decent ship and you really dont want to lose it in PVP
xAzDKr Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Ah ! You must always praise their confidence sir. And never back down from a fair brawl. The US on PVP2 will back down from a fair brawl, they will come back 10 minutes later when more ships have joined them and they have an overmatch. As for the suggestion: I do a little bit of both, when I feel like straight up grinding, I go with a group of friends within SLRN to places we know that AI fleets spawn and grind them, however, we also are fighting at least one port battle a day with constant PVP during that timeframe, so PVE gives us a chance to unwind and play the game without having to go super tryhard, it also gives us a chance to replenish our 3rd rates and have some fun doing so.
Mrdoomed Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Simple. PVP has loss and PVE doesn't. It's no mystery, we've been nagging over this for ages. BELIEVE ME , ive seen the endless nagging by you. What im referring to is this grind you bitch about is self imposed. If every time you smash your hand with a hammer it hurts then stop smashing your hand. I know you wont get that so here, stop doing pve and do pvp and this grind is gone. If you cant handle loss or pvp then once again the grind people bitch endlessly about is self imposed. THIS is what im saying i dont get. The grind is only there because you do it.

That player is an example of someone who self imposes a endless boring grind instead of fighting pvp and having the challenge and fun. All cuz hes scared of a pixel ship getting shot. Sorry i cant feel sorry for people like that who then say the game is grindy.
Capt. Rice Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 on PVP2 only time US players will fight you is if they have 5 times the number you do. i can never find a Spanish player but i understand why due to the current situation.....

Stop acting as though people are somehow deficient for not wanting to be cannon fodder. Edited March 17, 2016 by Aetrion

You still refuse to answere me so ill try again. What is your play hours or days? How often do you play and how long. I keep trying to see your point but everything you say seems like you dont acually even play this game. Also the things you keep suggesting are impossible in this game unless youre arrogant enough to expect the devs to rewrite the entire game to suit you. Try making suggestions on how to make THIS game better instead of telling them to redesign the game for you amd about 4 people. PLEASE tell me your typical game sessions. PLEASE. PS. you do realize youre not acually cannon fodder right and this is a video game. Edited March 17, 2016 by Mrdoomed

It's a bit unfair because my forum politics go way back beyond your few weeks here so I can't expect you to get what I'm saying. Heh, imagine... There is a full year of nagging you have been spared When I whine about loss it's not for my own sake. Like Prater did in his above example so have I, Laik, Kaos, Puchu, Tommy Shelby, Generaljake and many others done many, many times; Actively sought out PVP at a disadvantage in order to get a fight. Just like Prater I have "documented" some of those encounters, with pictures, here on the forums. Where players in frigates run from my Surprise, players in connies run from my trinc and so on. I'm being boringly clear now, but please understand I am not a PVE humper or in any way afflicted with PVP aversion. I think our interaction can become more constructive, now that you know.
Blood Eagle Posted March 17, 2016 Author Posted March 17, 2016 i can never find a Spanish player but i understand why due to the current situation..... We were out and about near key west last night ganking US players and watching them run away. The kings of ruining are SOL..

I dont mean to come off as a dick its just ive seen way to many games ruined by squeeky wheels and i worry that it could happen agian. Dont take what i say personally i am a very blunt talker...picture kramer .
PL_Harpoon Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Simple. PVP has loss and PVE doesn't. It's no mystery, we've been nagging over this for ages. I'm not so sure about that, I've been in a few PVP fights recently (I'm far from being an expert on the matter, though) and all of them ended in the losing player escaping/leaving battle. OTOH you still don't earn as much money as by doing missions.
Danouk Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Why not just let people play like they want to play it? If it's fun for them to play that way let them be.
Long Beard Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Simple. PVP has loss and PVE doesn't. It's no mystery, we've been nagging over this for ages. And in addition guaranteed XP & money that's not so far from your outpost. As long as missions are there, people will do them cos they're relatively hassle free. But hey, what's the problem? I really don't understand players who say PVP is hard to find. If that's the case, they're simply looking in the wrong places.
